I don't think they will ever make shenmue 3. Not enough people bought the first two anyway. After how terrible yakuza has done over here i don't see any reason they would make it no less localize it for us. Also fanboys are easy to mess with and are huge targets on the internet. Someone else's fanaticism about something can make me enjoy something less.

Unless you have a learning disability where you can't right click or can not take three seconds to review what you wrote, I'm not insulting you, I'm stating the truth.
@ dreamcast4ever83 - I tend do agree with Luke. Your posts are sometimes hard to decipher and your attachment huge pictures add to the headache to the ping pong read.

If you are using a cell phone to post, that could be part of the problem. Take the little bit of extra time to do the Spell Check, Caps and Periods where needed.

I would like to see a Shenmue 3 come out, but I really doubt it would happen. The connotation back to the Dreamcast which died might affect marketing it. Still, one can hope.

I don't think people "hate" SEGA at all ... it's those who don't understand the old SEGA will never make a return.

I understand that chances of shenmue 3 comeing anytime soon or slim but there are some valid reasons why I think it will be made.

Also in a world full of pessimism and negativity I choose to be more optimistic and hopeful. I think as adults we lose that bit of magic and decide to stick to realism but I prefer to keep the kid mentality because in this world it's really all you have.

Besides there have been much weirder and more unlikely things that have happened. SO whether it gets made or not I will stay hopeful cause honestly I used to say sega will make pso2 one day and make it an mmo on pc and alot of people said it will never happen and look now not only is it made but it's free to play and looks insane!

As I said weirder things have occurred I also recall hereing sega will never make a proper 3d sonic game and the series will never be as good as it once was...Then sonic generation came which I think is as good as any classic sonic's so "new" sega can't be that bad If they created that wonderful gem.

I think it is taking them time but there getting there

Check out my link above of the shenmue dreamcast! I had to edit it in since I forgot to put it on

Also I wanted to add I remember they were gonna do shenmue online mmo which seemed a little odd tome but I was excited for anything after shenmue 2. My question was is it gonna follow storyline after 2 or is it just in the shenmue world with battling and such.

Personally I would way rather have shenmue 3 I think the idea of a shenmue mmo seems kinda way left field. The thing is yu said this last year they were still working on it and If sega in 2006 was willing gto make a shenmue mmo then why the hell does it seem so crazy that they would make a shenmue 3?!?

Seriously I don't get why this seems so far fetched cause sega now is much more together then via 2006 I think so If they were working on it then why not now.

Not "gonna", they "did" it. It was out and online in China.

I've heard that Sega is reporting big losses, and I've read that they're considering moving to download-only games. It sounds to me that they're in worse shape now than they've ever been.

That's what everyone except Sega themselves is saying. You'd have to be really deluded to believe Sega when they are saying "everything is fine" when the walls are crumbling around them. It's very typical behavior for a Japanese company when in this situation (and not just Japanese. Look at RIM up here in Canada...).
