Hey Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I LOVE Chorno Trigger, it's one of my all time favorite games. I just learned there was a fan made sequel that kinda... leaked out. I would love to play this game on actual hardware. I don't care much for emulators. I want that good ol' SNES game playing on my TV feel. Coud anyone help point me in the right direction on how to put this ame onto a real cart?
I've done a few SNES games already (like Secret of Mana 2 and Star Ocean) but I had help. hoping I can get a lil more help for this one.
Thanks everyone!
~John

Things you'll need:
EPROM programmer. A good one runs $100+.
EPROMs. Most of these can be had for <$5 each.
Chrono Trigger cartridge. This will run you $50+ easily.
Years of soldering experience.
If you don't have the soldering experience don't even attempt this as it is not a "my first soldering" type experience unless you have $50 to throw away on your first attempt.

Check to all of those
I've been soldering for years, made a good amount of nes repros and a couple and genesis ones, just need some wiring layouts for something a lil more complex like this game.

You should look into flash programmers instead, maybe. Could be simpler and will still run on the SNES inside a normal cart without sacrificing a good game.

pfft. why ruin an original game that doesn't suck? just pay 99 cents to a couple of dollars for a sports game that uses the same PCB as the game you want a hack or repro of. people seem to think illusion of gaia is the best donor for a SoM2 repro, NHL '97 has the exact same PCB and works fine. why not just hit up SNESdev and see what sports games use the same PCB as chrono trigger?APE wrote:Things you'll need:
