Yeah I know. Its a rough sketch the tattoo artist will fix for me.Luke wrote:The proportions on the controller are fairly skewed. The curve where your right hand would be is angular, while where your left hand would be is curved.
Cool idea, hope it works out.

Its what I played as a kid. I originally wanted to do an atari controllet because that was the first console in my collection, but I thought that was too popular and already done, so I like this better. No, I appreciate the advice. I'm getting it for my 18th birthday, which is about a year from now. So I have plenty of time to think about it. (:GamingDutchman wrote:Very nice!
I hope you dont mind me giving you some advice. If you havent yet done so, id advise to hold onto this for a year. Look at it regularly, preferrably hang it over your bed. If after a year you still get a warm fuzzy feeling when looking at it, its the one and you should go for it!
I have 2 gaming related tattoos and enjoy them immensely. They give me strength when i feel weak. Like how the intro of Link to the Past can make me feel good on a bad day![]()
And whatever you do, dont let anyone get to you with the standard "what if you dont like it when youre 70??". When we are 70, we will have very different troubles than a little drawing on our bodies.
Power to the gaming tattoos!
And I wont let anyone talk me out of it if i really like it.
You should post some pictures of your tattoos on here. Id love to see them!

What style are you going for? And where at?
The ribbon wrapping around the controller like that immediately screams American Classic style to me. Ideally, a shouder/high arm tattoo.
I've thought about getting a tattoo, not sure if I'd go gaming related. I've always wanted to get into the business too, but I'm not sure how big of a variety I could do style wise...

Re: My Retro Gaming tattoo
This is a great idea. I've wanted to get a bunch of tattoos documenting what has shaped me growing up, and not sure if I'd want the Nintendo logo or Sega logo, but game controller is a great idea. Consoles themselves are pretty ugly and can just look like a dark box on your arm, but I like the idea of a unique controller like the N64. It's my favourite console and the one which I grew up playing the most. Just make sure you go to a decorated well respect artist and don't bodge job it.

I've been thinking of getting this on my arm:

I do not live in a good town when it comes to getting tattoos though. All the work I've seen is amateurish at best. My girlfriend has two that kinda look like crap. The guy that did them has really shaky hands and I honestly have no idea how he got his job. haha

What is that symbol from harper?
Lovin the 64 Tat. I wish I could get something down that I actually want on my body. A gaming tat is a must!
