Years ago I do remember copies of this and another game in the same series at my local Best Buy. Always wanted to try it but feared the language barrier would be a bit much.Nitman99 wrote:
$10 at 2nd & Charles (a used book/electronics store). I'm hearing a rumor that these were somehow distributed in Best Buys and Fry's across the US, can anyone verify? It'd take away a bit of the magic of the find but I'm still plenty satisfied. Now if only I could find the Ouendan series and Valkyria Chronicles 3 in the wild!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
went late to the fleamarket.
It was so late (and hot!) that most everyone was gone.
But I managed to get some classic battery powered games.
Comp IV by milton bradley
Space Lazer Fight and Boxing games by a company called Bambino.
I suspect they are both the same core game since they are similarly designed. And looking closely at the screen the little mans are the same!
need to buy batteries to test them though.
$3.00 for all of them.

I think the Comp IV we had when I was little is still at my parents. Lots of buttons on those other two.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Welp, it was too good to be true. Just got an email saying that it was "out of stock" and that I'm getting a refund. More likely, the dude realized that he put too low of a price on it and didn't want to eat his mistake. Oh well, I'm sure Wii prices will plummet once the Wii U is released.BoringSupreez wrote:Just snagged a CIB GCN-compatible Wii off Amazon for $44 shipped. Only thing missing is the sensor bar. Too good to be true? I'll find out in a week or two.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I'm coming off 5 months of not being able to really buy anything. During that time I made a resolution to stop buying games at full price (unless I really felt like I couldn't live without them) and get back into the wonderful fun that is bargain hunting. I really want to start beefing up my collection but not go broke doing so. After getting back to the States this past weekend I've been hitting up the local used games shops. These are some of the highlights:
Rise to Honor (PS2): $1.79 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
Street Hoops (PS2): $1.79 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
True Crime: Streets of LA (PS2): $2.69 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
ESPN NBA 2Night (PS2): $1.99 (Condition: New/sealed)
Team USA Basketball (Sega Genesis): $4.99 (Condition: 8/10, CIB)
Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus (Xbox): 1.99 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
Mad World (Wii): $4.49 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
Red Steel (Wii): $3.59 (Condition: 7/10, CIB)
Viewtiful Joe 2 (PS2): $3.59 (Condition: 8/10, CIB)
Dark Void (360): $6.99 (Condition: New/sealed)
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (PS2): $13.49 (Condition: 10/10, CIB)
Most of these may not be top rated titles but it's all stuff I've missed out on over the years and for those prices there was no way I was passing them up. I already had a copy of USA Bball (2 actually) but I didn't have the instruction book and this one also had the mini mural cards in mint condition. I'm happy with what I've bought this week.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I recently picked up a SNES with no cables or controllers (tested it and it works fine thankfully) along with a bunch of games to go with it.
Below are the games, not pictured is the SNES, (Sorry for the crappy cell phone camera it's the only one I had around at the time.)

From top left to right:
Aladdin
Sunset Riders
Mega Man X2
Donkey Kong Country 2
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time
SUPER TURRICAN 2!!!
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition (I love this game)
Super Mario Kart
Doom
Al of those games and the console itself for $20.
What happened is I knew somebody who just bought a house that used to belong to a hoarder who abandoned all their stuff. This place is pretty nuts, like the kind of thing you see on TV. They just want this stuff out as quickly as possible so they can start fixing up the house so I looked around and gave them twenty bucks for what I wanted. There were more SNES consoles but I took the least roached looking one. There were also some disc systems including a Dreamcast, PS2 and Gamecube but they were a real mess, mostly cracked and broken.
I might take some more stuff if they don't get around to selling it themselves and decide to just start throwing it out but I didn't want to get too greedy and only took what I wanted for my personal collection.
The stuff needed some serious cleaning but it's all like new now

Why'd you bold Super Turrican 2, but not Sunset Riders or Mega Man X2? Those are also hard to find for cheap! All three of those are... lucky bastard.

Super Turrican 2 is certainly the hardest to find in the bunch. X2 and Sunset are both pricier, but not uncommon.
Also, i'm interested in ST 2 and if you are flipping, feel free to PM me.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Thanks but like I said I only took the stuff I wanted to keep for now. If I get the rest of the games I'll likely flip those but I pretty much picked out everything noteworthy already.mjmjr25 wrote:Super Turrican 2 is certainly the hardest to find in the bunch. I bolded ST2 because it's the one that really took me by surprise, didn't mean to diminish Sunset Riders and MMX2
