Light zippy roadsters in general make me want to drive for the rest of my life. It's the whole reason I bought my Miata.Luke wrote: Something about the 1932 Roadster makes me want to simply drive for the rest of my natural life. No stereo either, just drive.

I'll never forget seeing my Father test drive a Miata. He's 6'5", maybe 6'6". Top down, forehead above the windshield. Hilarious.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Light zippy roadsters in general make me want to drive for the rest of my life. It's the whole reason I bought my Miata.

I'm 6'1" and fit just right in it. My hair feathers the soft-top but in a hard top I have a good 2.5" of headroom.Luke wrote:I'll never forget seeing my Father test drive a Miata. I really should give it a wash and wax today.

I'm 6'0 or 6'1, maybe 6'2, I honestly don't know. I almost purchased my Sister's Miata, but the legroom was a deal breaker. I'm down with the "cars should feel more like toys" mindset, but I had a huge issue with legroom with the Miata. Well, in full disclosure, I also couldn't believe how wimpy the motor was.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: I'm 6'1" and fit just right in it. I mean that in no offense whatsoever, but you already know that. I wish a Miata would "fit" me, but it doesn't. I had a very close friend who broke her leg on a steering wheel when we were 16. Ever since seeing her leg break and flop with a femur sticking out of her thigh, I reuire at least six inches of thigh to steering wheel clearance.
Might sound weird that I prefer a school bus steering wheel level height, but steering wheels can seriously fuck your shit up in a simple fender bender.
Ugh, I remember vividly her saying "my leg is numb, are you okay?", then her trying to get out of the car, and her thigh folded and a bone protruded a few inched above her knee and she fell. So yucky.

Yeah. I'm fully aware my knees will be seriously fucked up if I wreck it, I'm not too worried about the steering wheel though.
As far power is concerned, it's not really the draw of the car, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't want more when passing people on the freeway in 6th. After I'm done getting things the way I want it'll have a little more power though. Probably around 170ish.
There are plenty of 3500lbs, 500 horse speed machines out there, we even have two in the house-hold, but the Miata is all about the corners and the general feel of driving it. I honestly can't think of a car I'd trade it out for.

Remember, it is more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Sticking the twisties is also more exciting than being mashed into your seat in a straight line. The lower your ass is to the road, the faster everything seems.Luke wrote:I also couldn't believe how wimpy the motor was.

Learning how old one of the Olympic gymnasts was today (around 2 months younger), I've been questioning what I've done and what I will do with my life. Athletics are a no go unless I somehow become good enough for sport shooting... I can only hope for videogame Olympics.
Also, I'll be damned if it doesn't seem like there was a lot of good looking athletes this year.

Ugh my phone just updated itself and deleted all my swears from the Swype dictionary so I'm going through and re adding them all.
I've realized I need some new swear words and insults.

Why do people seem to have so little intellectual curiosity? I doubt it's a new thing but it just seems more noticeable to me as of late.
