If you could make a film based on your fave game(s)....

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Actually, there is a Max Payne movie currently in the works. If I recall correctly, it's already in the can but does not yet have a release date.

Actually, there's already a trailer for it. It's got Mila Kunis in it. She was Jackie Burkhard on That 70s Show.

I love the part in "Postal" where Uwe Boll says "My movies are financed with nazi gold" and then offers to pay "Mini Me" in gold teeth before being shot.

At least the guy can poke fun at himself!

Personally I see no problem with him making films.

I never "hated" his movies, except for "Alone in the Dark". WTF?? I thought it'd be like the REAL game, but instead they ditched the Lovecraftian brilliance for drek! Though the only film of his that I truly liked was "House of the Dead", simply cuz it's honest about itself. It's not trying to be the next big zombie film, nor is it trying to be true to the games.

Also, I'd like to do a Super Mario movie. Not like that *shudder* other *shudder* SMB movie. I mean a REAL Super Mario movie. It'd be just like the games, so none of that alternate-universe Manhattan crap. I'd cast either Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon as Mario and Luigi OR Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson as Mario and Luigi. And then get Kristen Bell as Peach and Bill Moseley to do the voice of Bowser.

1. Syndicate

2.Sci-Fi...duh

3.I would shoot it in the style of the old Chris Cunningham videos.
A good visual example would be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjAoBKagWQA

Shameless plug alert!
Once again I'd like to direct anyone within earshot to x-strikestudios.com. Fan-made, feature-length films based on River City Ransom (this one was even featured in Nintendo Power!), Silent Hill, Parappa the Rapper, and Resident Evil. Low on budget, long on heart.

I really, really dislike VG movies.

So, I'd not make a movie out of any games, if possible.

Of course I'd love to see a movie based on a shooter. Try to imagine DoDonPachi as a movie. It'll blow your mind, man.

I was thinking of something from LucasArts Adventure games like Secret of Monkey Island. The movie would like a Action/Comedy, the director should be Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean series, Bioshock), I don't know who should be in the movie, I hope some unknown actors to be in the movie.

Because this, and many others mentioned in this thread practically ARE movies already. What's the point in turning a game into a movie when 80% of the game already feels like a movie? That would be boring. Want a Grim Fandango movie? Just watch a video walkthrough of it. There you go.
