Honestly, it should run fine for daytime for you, but nighttime will be bad.

This game is everywhere on the internet now, and I really want to try it. My concerns are the $30 price tag to get the base game, but more than that, I am worried about intaracting with other players, and getting killed all the time for just being in their general area. If there were stong communities where people worked together, and backed eachother up then it would be much more appealing, i am still on the fence though.

And has anyone heard about this war-z game? it seems to be the exact same game, just as a standalone from a different developer.

War-Z has permadeath as optional, and has a monthly fee.

Odd, I could have sworn it had one. My mistake.

As for Day-Z it was recently announced that it is getting a standalone release from Bohemia, based off the ARMA III engine and will have an alpha system like Minecraft - with lots of user input. Rocket is heading the team, but there will be others involved (which is a really good thing).

Also, there is a Minecraft mod that is DayZ like.

My only concern with this would be that once there is a studio and money involved, that they might not be able to make the game like the mod originally intended. Will the studio force on an option to turn off permadeath? Will they cut other features or modify the game to make it "more accessable" to gamers? I understand that the original game for the mod Arma II was pretty unforgiving, so maybe my concerns are unneeded.
