What do you think of my collection?

Post by AshleyG.64 »

I started collecting retro video game consoles about a year ago. I mainly collect consoles, but I collect games and controllers for them also. I would like to know what you guys think of it. Does it look good? :D

Here's the whole set up.

You have a Dreamcast. That's more than enough for me ;)
But seriously, its a fine collection considering you've had a years worth!
I love that shelf (wooden black) you got for your consoles and games btw.

Looks great so far! The Olympian 2600 is quite nice, as it makes the collection stand out a bit.

Looking good. That Olympian looks pretty neat for an old pong system. I think I remember knowing someone who owned that mushroom cookie jar on the left when I was little. Or maybe it was one very similar.

It's coming along very nicely for a year-old collection! Gotta love that Olympian also :)

Yeah Ashley! Congrats on your stuff! Lots of good stuff there only after one year!

Although I'm not too happy with how the atari manuals are. Hope they're not too packed together. It may be troublesome to have them fold back together along the crease.

I have a couple of the Quest comicbooks too. I dont have any of the atari force ones.

Its possible to still get a screen for that clear Gameboy. I had that one too since I was a teenager. Look for it online.

But a word of advice.....DONT USE SUPER GLUE! My plastic screen fell off and I used superglue to stick it back. I was a dumb kid! The fumes from the super glue fogged up the screen

Didn't stop me from playing it though. I would play my F*cked up gameboy in direct sunlight at certain angles  Used it for years that way. Since I couldn't afford another one.

I hope you have luck finding another SNES. Time has not been nice to yours. If it still works, then okay. But get a nicer one and use that one to impress friends.

I like the earthy style to your room too! The green carpet, walls and the fungus stautes make it look really interesting!

In your PS1 stuff, is that nightmare creatures 1 or 2 you have there? I played part one to death back in the day. Part two not much.

I hope you have lots of fun finding more things! Hope you post it here too!

I originally had the manuals leaning on my shelf, but they were starting to bend. I thought the binder would keep them safe, but you are right.

All of the consoles I own I have found and garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, etc. So yeah the SNES isn't in the best shape. I still love it.

I love earthy colors and styles. Hah.

Nightmare Creatures 1.

I actually just bought a PS2 for $25.

I have so much fun finding things for my collection, I will gladly post more.
