Hey everyone,
So at the suggestion of Hobie-wan, I moved this thread over here.
Here's a gallery of my game room:
http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff3 ... %20Nation/
Some highlights of my collection:
-A Neo Geo Pocket Color w/Metal Slug 2nd Mission that I recently found at a local Goodwill.
-2 UForce controllers (one CIB, the other just the main unit)
-2 Power Gloves with manuals and sensors (one I bought, the other a friend gave me)
-A Mario Bros. Game and Watch (it was a gift. Still need to get a new battery for it)
-Bible Adventures (found it for $3 at my local Goodwill. Anyone know if there's a difference with the cartridge color? First one I saw was baby blue, this one is black)
-A Camerica Adventure 4 pack NES cart (from a free pile from a next door neighbor.)
-Earthworm Jim: Special Edition CIB for Sega CD (Always loved this game.)
Still on the lookout for numerous things, like a Turbo Grafx 16, a Konami Lazerscope, a R.O.B. with his accessories, but the pickings around Portland are so far rather slim.

Re: My Game Room
hi new person!
Thanks for letting us see your nice things.
A Looong time ago I knew someone that had the U-force, It was pretty cool to look at. But I never got to use it.
I hear bad things about it though. It wasnt very accurate or fun. But its a nice piece of nes nostalgia.
I also have that same mario bros game and watch game. Yours looks much cleaner than mine.
Its also nice to see your power glove. I've seen them at fleamarkets, but time has not treated them well.
hope to see lots of posts from you! and welcome to RB!

Re: My Game Room
The UForce is a tricky one. I've tested it with a couple different games and gotten different results. The one in the box works really well with the Power Bar and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, yet it's rather finicky when I tried to play Super Mario. The movement works well, but the jump...doesn't jump all the way, like it's on turbo or something. The Flight Stick works well with Top Gun, and supposedly you can use it with side-scrollers, but I haven't tried it yet.
The Power Gloves, heh, now there's a strange piece of controller. The main problem with it, other than getting the stupid sensors to stay in place, was that the controls defaulted to being in turbo when you started the game. You had to turn turbo off with a certain command on the glove to have it behave normally, but if you had to turn the game off or reset, it reset the Glove back to turbo. After figuring that out, it actually works pretty decently.

Re: My Game Room
Yeah, most of it I've found at my local Goodwills, for rather cheap, considering some of the prices I've seen elsewhere. Unfortunately a lot of times things are separated out at the goodwill, so you'll have a console for one price, controllers at another and power and a/v cords at another.
But most of the time, the most expensive I've seen a console bundle go for there is about $19.95, generally with 2 controllers, both cords and occasionally a memory card. Exactly like the Dreamcast bundle I found recently. Also found the Odyssey 2 bundle there, and the clerk I brought it up to sold me it and the 2 games I found priced separately all for the one price of the bundle, since I mentioned they went with the system.
The harder to find systems unfortunately don't pop up there at all, or at least I haven't seen them. I keep hoping that a Turbo Grafx 16 shows up, or a Sega CDX makes it way into their portable cd player area, but so far no dice.
Speaking of Dreamcast stuff, anyone know where to find the mic attachment for the DC, and the (this sounds horrible) Seaman game? I saw a vid about it recently and raising a talking fish sounds entertaining
