It was referring to the company that made the PC Engine / TurboGrafx 16.GameMasterGuy wrote:Excuse my ignorance, but what was the NEC?
Now they only make laptops, desktops, etc.

Yeah, average price seems to be around $50. People paying $70+ are just impatient. Lower than a few years ago, iirc.Opa Opa wrote:http://www.ebay.com/csc/Video-Games-Con ... SNES&rt=nc
Re: SNES Chrono Trigger getting expensive again?
I got a cart-only Chrono Trigger for $25 last year.
$100 for a cart of Chrono Trigger? That is nothing less then gouging.

$100 for a cart is nothing.

As for "what is NEC?", take a look at the top-left corner of the box.

Let me introduce you to this:sbk wrote:$100 for a cart? That is dumb.

My old copy of Chrono Trigger I got by trading a copy of WCW/nWo Revenge for it. I will never get a deal that good again.Breetai wrote:I got a cart-only Chrono Trigger for $25 last year.

I guess I should of specified that I am only talking about the chronotrigger cart being dumb at 100 since your the 2nd person to point out other expensive titles/hardware. I own Little Samson and Bubble Bobble part 2. I know carts can reach way over $100 lol.Breetai wrote:I got a cart-only Chrono Trigger for $25 last year.

Re: SNES Chrono Trigger getting expensive again?
Just checked on Amazon.....lowest price for Chrono Trigger for the SNES is $51.99 plus shipping, which sounds right because I've seen it hover around 50-60 dollars on Amazon for a while. Now if it all of a sudden jumped up to 78 dollars, then I would say yes it is getting expensive.
Luckily I found a Craigslist ad of somebody in Riverside, CA selling it for 40 bucks (cart only, looks pretty decent). If I knew I wasn't gonna blow money on gambling later this week in Las Vegas I might go for it.

If everyone is smart and DOES NOT buy Chrono Trigger for these stupid prices, the prices will drop again.MyNameIsVince wrote:Just checked on Amazon.....lowest price for Chrono Trigger for the SNES is $51.99 plus shipping, which sounds right because I've seen it hover around 50-60 dollars on Amazon for a while. Re: SNES Chrono Trigger getting expensive again?
Well, let's look at what VGPC has to say about both the SNES and DS versions. Since January this year, it's gone up $8 on SNES and about $3.50 on DS, so maybe it really is getting more pricey. Or it could just be a fluke that will disappear eventually.
