glad I got my copy of chrono trigger a few years ago at the fleamarket for $8.00!

yeah!

mixed in with random electronics. Slightly dusty, but plays good.

Same dude had earthbound too A few months later I got it for about $5.00

Its just a matter of luck and hoping you get a good find at a fleamarket, garage sale or thrift store.

Yeah, I tend not to be so lucky, Flojo. I bought Chrono Trigger a few years ago, cart only, for about $40. Not the greatest deal, but it was a lot better than $75 - $100.

The DS version really has very little influence on the price of the SNES version.

One does wonder what kind of price Chrono Trigger might command today if it didn't have the VC re-release, the Ps1 port, the PSN release of the ps1 port, or the DS port.

Sucks that it's going up again. One more game I used to own that's going to cost me an arm to get back :(

I think the PS1 port is what keeps the price down. Most people who don't own it on SNES seem to opt for that version, even though it's the weaker of the two ports.

Holy crap. For those prices, I'll stick to my DS version.

You are obviously not a collector of Anime DVDs

And those prices have improved drastically from what they were a month ago.

The most recent release of Project A-Ko has a much better transfer than the older discs, iirc. Plus it's way cheaper.
