FC Twin Import Question

Post by DeformeR »

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here has had experience playing import SNES games on an FC Twin. Is it possible and if so how are there any modifications you have to make to the cartridge? Specifically, I was wondering if anyone has tried Gundam W: Endless Duel. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to do any mods, as the FC twin will play US, Japan and Europe SNES carts out of the box. I recommend getting the Retro Duo instead if you can. It's the same as the FC Twin, but has s-video and and works with some games that were incompatible with the FC Twin.

Retro duo is where its at. I think the big game that wasn't able to play on the FC was mario RPG. Kinda a fan favorite. Maybe starfox too?

Just wanted to echo the sentiment that you shouldn't buy the FC, but buy the retro duo. Worth it. That plus the messiah entertainment wireless snes controllers, and you got a beast of a retro gaming console on your hands.

About how much should a good Retro Duo cost me? I was considering an FC Twin I'd seen in a local store and was considering picking it up, but now I'm gonna look for the RD.

Get a used SNES or Super Famicom. Cheap and I've never had one die on me. That and they'll play every game. ;)

I got my Retro Duo for around $50 shipped off eBay. A lot of different sellers have them.
