I am, very unfortunately, out for this one as my niece's birthday is being celebrated that day and my wife and I will be in a completely different part of the state.

Woah, I missed this! That sucks, too. Maybe you can convince your wife that you are more needed here than at the niece's?

Trust me, my friend, I am very disappointed. As I was playing NBA Jam on the SNES this afternoon, I just wistfully thought of how awesome it would be to fire that up in person. I know how much you love that version (best controller layout ever too). I do too (sound aside).

I REALLY want to come this year! Dsh, would you be against me skipping out on the early knoebels portion and just making it to your house later on in the evening? I'm supposed to be in the studio recording the day before and hopefully can finish all my tracks.

As far as camping goes; I only have a sleeping bag and pillow. I don't need a tent or anything - do i?

Nope, and I do have a tent if you decide you would prefer one. Otherwise you can just sleep under the stars if you'd like.

I regret this decision, but I may have to pass on this summer's meetup. I'm going to be moving soon and have some other life obligations to take care of that came up.

So this is basically a week away now, so here are details for times and what not.

Knoebels opens at 11am if you want to get there right away, but let's plan to meetup @ the Park at the Arcade around 1pm so that I can give everyone a flyer with directions to my house and so that we can play some games there together. We should try to meet in the area between the two arcade buildings where there are benches (behind the "main" arcade and in front of the "theater" that has Theater of Magic pinball and Glaga/Ms. Pac Man cabinets.

We can shift venues to my house around 4pm for gaming, BBQ, and brews. I live about 5-10 minutes from the park.

tldr:

11am - Knoebels opens
1pm - meetup @ Knoebels starts between arcade buildings
4pm - drive to Dave's house for gaming, brews, BBQ, and (if desired) camping

It would be nice to see some additional people join up for this so we can get a good amount of people playing on a variety of TVs, plus the more the merrier. This starts late enough in the day that it would be an awesome road trip for some of our further flung members in the Northeast...
