Monster S-Video Cables

Some of the cables with composite maintain the signals properly, but many do not. I would not suspect the RB cables to be this way, but someone posted a review specifically saying that they do have the problem.

can't you just like, remove the pins connecting to the composite lead or something?

I just got an official nintendo s-video cord (just svid input and red and white audio, nintendo stamp on console end) from hit-japan on ebay for the same price as those monster cables and they are the tits!!! If you can get your hands on them from him, do it! He's awesome to deal with though sometimes his shipping costs are high. If you buy more he'll drop the shipping cost, but not all the time.

I bought that lot of six cables and sold three of them. I wound up making my money back plus a dollar or two, and I have three cables left for my systems. Not a bad deal, IMO.

I actually bought one of these specific Monster S-video cables last year, and I definitely probably spent more than I should on it (maybe 10 plus dollars for one S-Video cable). It worked fine, but my only complaint I had was that the AV plugs didn't connect all too well to the TV. I felt like they were going to come out if I moved the cord in the slightest, and yes this actually bothered me. So I ended up selling them to a guy for about 5 bucks.

I ended up buying one S-Video cable that was a no-name brand, but it had good ratings on it and looked like an official SNES/N64/Gamecube cable, just with an additional S-Video plug. Worked the same as the Monster S-Video cable, but for much less money.

So basically, don't buy the Monster S-Video cable unless you get a really good deal on them, and 34 bucks for a pack of 6 is actually pretty good.
