Not much to do in ND. What part? Fargo isn't bad but if it's anywhere near the oil fields you'll be working hard just to stay out of trouble.
The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

I lived four years in North Dakota. I got my undergraduate degree at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Before I went up there my father took me aside and told me "Son, there is a girl behind every tree up there". I got a big grin on my face. I got to North Dakota and there were no trees.

Just keep yourself safe. Best thing is do your time and nothing else and wait until you get home. I've had friends go out there because the pay is great, but it ended up ruining lives from getting caught up with the scene there. One's now a meth head and the other went to jail for multiple B&Es. This is what happens when a town doesn't have the infrastructure it needs and men outnumber women 100:1. Don't bring your wife/girlfriend for obvious reasons.JsGameRoom wrote:videogameexperiment wrote: but if it's anywhere near the oil fields you'll be working hard just to stay out of trouble.

Also make sure you have a place to sleep at night. Trailer homes and campers sell for 3X their value/rent and even cheap hotels like Super 8 are $150-200 a night. It's a different world out there.

This was hilarious, thanks.
Re: Anybody in North Dakota?
I remember only one time they canceled classes for the cold. The wind chill factor was -81F and in the spring the whole town flooded. I lost my Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X in that flood. I graduated and got out the next year. The mosquitos are bad (on the east side of the state). The Red River that is in Fargo and Grand Forks flows to the north (upstream). I thought of it as almost the end of the earth. But the people were frendly.
