It was the first one made, the first one released. It's the first movie.Luke wrote:You, George Lucas, and my blu-ray disc cover can settle this.AppleQueso wrote:But that was the first one...Luke wrote: A NEW HOPE of course rules.
Also:
"Episode IV" wasn't added to the crawl until around when Empire Strikes Back came out.
Early concept art and whatnot from Empire also refers to ESB as "Episode II"
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Of course, but it will always read Episode IV.AppleQueso wrote: It was the first one made, the first one released.
I don't agree with it, but there it is.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
That review was completely unhelpful in letting me know if Total Recall is worth seeing or not. I saw a few specific minor complaints and an overarching "I didn't like it but I won't tell you specifically why".Pulsar_t wrote:http://twitchfilm.com/reviews/2012/08/r ... ttable.php
Yet another totally redundant and crappy scifi remake.

Watched the unfinished version in what seems like forever ago. I'm sure the film will be gorgeous, but it's not fun.
It takes itself too seriously and the script doesn't improve on anything.
It's not awful and it is packed with action, it's just like I feel it's the same movie with all the fun sucked out of it.

See, now that's an informative review.

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, as my sarcasm feelers are off today.MrPopo wrote:See, now that's an informative review.
Spoilers:
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It was not sarcasm. You concisely explained the failings of the movie. Though your follow up actually made me interested in it again, as I'm curious to see if the sci fi stuff outweighs the lack of "See you at the pahty Richter!" and "You think this is the real Quaid? It is!"

Rarely would I ever say "Don't see this movie", and I would probably encourage sci fi fans to see this, as the cut I saw was very scyfy.
I love the "two weeks" and eye popping in TOTAL RECALL. This remake borders on being Michael Bay-ish.
Again, I think this will end up being a feast for the eyes, but not a good movie, nor an improvement (unless you want a serious movie about something that isn't serious).
I'll go watch it again in the theater just to see the edits if that says anything. But I know it doesn't have that [*HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! A tree in my backyard was just struck by lightning (I'll take a picture) and it felt and sounded like a bomb went off*] feeling where you want to start high fiving people when the credits roll.
It's a little JJ Brams without all the lens flare.
I hope to God the new ROBOCOP won't be like this. Polish the story, not the effects.
(Who am I kidding? I don't care if the story sucks, just give me Robocop, the "I'll buy that for a dollar" guy, a bunch of violence, ED 209, a boob or two, and a guy who pisses on dead people)
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Anyone planning to watch The Dark Knight Rises? I have two $5 off coupons that expire August 5th, so let me know and I'll try to PM you the codes.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
