Couldn't it be less shit for everyone else? I mean, there's only you and probably Harold and Kumar who like it. One of them committed suicide in House, so you see these people aren't very good in the head.
It's pretty huge where I used to live. And when you're really hungry you can get the sack of 10, or if you're throwing a party you can get the 30 burger crave case or the 100 burger chest.
I start to see what's good about it. I'm going to eat there again eventually. I'm intrigued.

Popo:

If you've ever had to resort to the frozen White Castles, how do you prepare them?

I nuked two a few weeks ago, and the buns were so hard the burgers were inedible. I'm thinking wrapping them with a damp paper towel might produce better results.

I found the best method was to wrap them in a dry paper towel and let them sit for a bit afterwards. The problem is that you need to get the meat zapped to a good temp but it overzaps the bun. Try dialing back the time you were cooking them. There's a sweet spot where the bun is still soft but the meat gets cooked. It varies depending on your microwave temperature.

Cut? Nonsense! I'm a lazy bastard when cooking and I always hand snap if I've got green beans.

If they're fresh, you usually have to cut the tip/stem off and wash them. Croutons take time to cut up, dry, and season. Mozarella needs to be grated/sliced, etc.
I didn't factor croutons since I make them in large batches. Green beans were fresh. It takes two minutes to cut a large number of them and put them into a dish. I cut them in bunches of five or so. The fresh pasta makes it all very fast, since you don't have to boil the noodles first. It is definitely 15 minutes of prep time. I know because I choose a specific time for the food to be complete and begin preparing at the precise moment needed.

Echoing a lot of the sentiments from this thread, I thought I might have a little to contribute. Seems like everyone has their own guilty pleasure in fast food. Taco Bell is one of mine. It's cheap and it tastes good. When you boil it down though, its ingredients you don't know the source of, nor do you know what it has been treated with. Has it been artificially preserved, were the animals fed or treated with growth hormones, etc? Not to mention, the high fructose corn syrup element and how your body breaks down those compounds.

Again, the popular counter argument is everything is good in moderation. But when you consider people in the United States have cancer rates that are prolific compared to the rest of the world, you have to consider the factors. Diet seems to be the biggest one. It's also one of the reasons of escalating health care costs. Healthy diet and exercise helps mitigate health care costs later in life. So why would you put something that has the potential to be so harmful into your body?

After eating in university dining halls serving processed foods for several years, and feeling like crap, I decided I wanted to go the route of eating whole, organic foods. I cut out a lot of things that lacked nutrition, but thought of ways I could cook the things I craved from fast food with healthy ingredients. There's something satisfying about crafting a meal with your own hands, then eating the leftovers conveniently the next day or two.

Mcdonalds gets my money one time a year. In march when I get their shamrock shakes (and inevitably order some fries too because of the scientifically engineered smell that emits in the drive thru). Otherwise I don't eat there. And not for some holier than thou punishing the corporate conglomerate justified reason. I just think their food sucks and prefer to support independent local businesses that can't be replaced by another two blocks away. I like Wendys though.

After working in a Mcdonalds for 4 years whilst at college, I can tell you that having to pay for it, sucks. It's weird though, because when you make the food all day, the last thing you want is a Big Mac. But having not worked there since 2007, I'm always craving one.
It's only bad or unhealthy if you have it every day which would cost a fortune. And if I want to treat myself I'll get a Burger King as not only is it tastier, but it actually fills a gap. I swear Mcdonalds food once you burp it out, leaves you empty and wanting more.
