Hi Everyone,
I had just picked up a gamecube complete in box with games from a craigslist ad and going thru everything I found a old reciept for the gamecube. The system was bought in 2002 and came from circut city for 199.99. I see these all the time and I thought if anyone else found old reciepts in thier games/consoles. I think for me since the gamecube was bought in 2002 and was with it's original owner I have a good buy. I know that the system was taken care of and it was only in the hands of one person. I also think it's kind of cool to find where games had traveled till it get's in your hands

yup.
I have seen reciepts in stuff. On some ps1 games and other stuff
I've also seen price stickers on stuff too.
Reminds me of old ads too.
Seeing those prices gives me memories of the stuff I wanted. And no money to buy them.
Theres a couple of magazine articles and possibly some sites that tell you what the price of the game would be now due to inflation.
expensive times!

Speaking of price stickers, I have a random N64 game with a rhino sticker on it and I'll probably never remove it unless I end up selling the game. Idk, it just brings back memories, that store was fucking awesome.

I keep receipts for things and put them in the package for games and systems. It is amusing to see the cost of things years later and sometimes have other memories come back when you look at it again.

I always put my receipt in the game when i buy it, so someday someone else can see how much i paid maybe.

I picked up an old boxed Bally Professional Arcade system back in 06. Surprisingly, the receipt was still in the box. That thing's from the 70's! I thought it was pretty cool. I never considered keeping the receipts for games until reading this post. I think I will now just for sh*ts and gigs.

Oh man, Street Fighter II was $75! I totally forgot about that. I paid that and was kind of pissed off, but I was HUUUUUGE into that game, so I did it anyway.Hazerd wrote:Inflation of 90's Games![]()

I remember paying $80 for Killer Instinct.
I have a bunch of 2nd hand Genesis titles with receipts with them. Man oh man. Some of them weren't worth the $3 that I paid, let alone the $50 or $55 that someone else did brand new. LOL.
For what it's worth, I put the $600 receipt into my PS3 box when I bought it on launch day. More to remind me of how much of an idiot I am, than anything else.
