@ Noise: I don't think a lot of the really popular iOS shmups (read: Cave shmups) support analog controls. If they did, I would probably buy an ipad just for that

yeah I really have no idea about iOS stuff. But I rescued this thing from a yard sale thinking "damn, someone's gonna wanna scoop this up off me fast."

I would recommend Buster Spirits and Buster Red. Spirits is an 8bit style graphics game, where Red is all hand drawn and slightly easier. Both are great for only a buck or two.
