DC Shenmue Limited Edition - $5.00 Bookoff
Look at that beautiful gold Limited Edition logo. Never knew about this until I spotted another shopper putting it back! He stated he only will own one copy of each game and wanted someone else to get a chance. Very nice of a fellow gamer! :D

Image

The game is complete with not four but Five discs.
1. Three Shenmue Dreamcast Discs
2. One Passport Dreamcast Disc
3. Music CD Disc
4. Special Disc holder, a third door for the music CD. 8)

I was disappointed in the tracks of the CD. Its all jazz, where is the music from the game?

Sega announced today that 20,000 limited edition copies of Shenmue will be released along side the game's normal release. An extra disc comes with the limited edition release and holds several music tracks from the game. Only fans who pre-order the game will receive the limited edition music disc. Shenmue is set for release on November 7.
Shenmue was a ground breaker of its day.

Microsoft InteliMouse TrackBall X03-09209 - $1.00 Swap Meet
Seller let me have both for a buck. I keep collecting Trakballs! Justified here because of the added scroll wheel. After cleaning the inside rollers of the old style mouse ball in the trak units, both work beautiful. Microsoft has sensitive quick responding movement compared to other mice of the era.

Colecovision Expansion Module #1 - $10.00 Swap Meet
The Atari 2600 module! I don't have a Colecovision, but couldn't pass up on this uncommon find. No way to test, unless I visit a Retro Gaming store. All the buttons work just fine and the module is in very good condition. Optimistic the unit is sound, might end up getting a Coleco one day.

Activision 10 in 1 - $5.00 Swap Meet
Seller wanted ten, talked down to five due to battery powder leakage underneath. weird that it still powered on even with one of the batteries leaking! An easy cleanout, the stick works great. Kaboom is actually playable with the joystick. The color stripe around the base is soooo 70s. 8)

Barnstorming, Chopper Command, Fishing Derby, Frostbite, Kaboom, Pitfall II, Pressure Cooking, Robot Tank, Seaquest and Spider Fighter.

World Poker Tour PlugnPlay- $1.00 Swap Meet
As in a Dreamcast VMU, the unit has a LCD status screen to supplement the TV view. Only two cards are drawn, then place a bet? I have to figure out how this poker works. Not a fan of the TV show , as boring as watching paint dry.

PS1 Pocket Fighter NTSC-J - $5.00 Bookoff
Hey noise, a miniature Morrigan! Only five bucks to get an uncommon import. Not the jewel matching puzzle game which is also great, but actually controlling the deformed fighters. The manual inside lists all the Special Attack moves in beautiful color artwork, similar to the tease picture below. There is also a playable demo of Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes, the Japanese version of Rival Schools in the disc, nice graphics for a PS1 release.

GBC Pokemon Yellow -$10.00 Swap Meet
Seller wanted fifteen, offered a package deal for ten along with the Coleco 2600 adapter. Not a big portable Pokemon fan, bought for the Pokedex use in the N64 Transfer Pack and Pokemon Stadium. Nice to finally have all three of Blue, Red and now Yellow carts. :D

2600 Solar Fox and Pacman - FREE Swap Meet
To sweeten the pie of the package deal, I asked for a couple of Atari carts, coincidental that both have a similar function of collecting a row of stuff on the screen. I played Solar fox on the Commodore 64, a nice run the dots while avoiding the enemy fire space game. I had to get Pacman for the awful flashing ghosts, its the more uncommon Sears cart. The best 2600 dot eater game is Pacman Jr, but Pacman is good to own for the novelty.

PS2 Ape Escape Pumped Primed - $3.59 Gamestop
Already own it, couldn't pass up on a spare CIB so inexpensive. Not the best of the series, an Arena game.

Star Wars Jedi StarFighter - $5.00 BookOff
The Starfighter series are touted to be a followup to the N64 versions, nice game play. Not HDAdvance compatible but maybe like Half Life it will install thru the PC.

Star Wars StarFighter - $2.99 FYE
Another I already own as a Greatest Hits, rescued due to CIB at less then three bucks. This is one time I prefer the original black edition due to a complete color manual. Weird how some Star Wars games on the PS2 Greatest Hits and Gamecube Players Choice releases went to black and white manuals. HDAdvance Compatible.

PC You Don't Know Jack - $2.00 Thrift Store
Big deal, a PC trivia game right? How about playing this with a set of BUZZ Controllers!
This makes for a whole new take on one of the best trivia party games. The Jack series are very witty and hilarious, I already own the first release, XL edition as well as a PS1 version. Anyone who has not played the older YDKJ PC versions should at least watch gameplay clips from YouTube, the insults are a riot. I am definitely going to get the PC Volume 3 version which the PS1 version is based on. It has the Jack Nicholson Jack Attack and Dis or Dat rounds, both are really good. The Buzz Controllers really add to the game, I'm going to get the entire series as I spot them in various Thrift Stores.

PS2 Buzz Controllers - 0.99¢ Gamestop
Very inexpensive. Combine with YDKJ, an outstanding three dollar party game! 8)

PC YDKJ with Lightup Buzz Controllers Mod

Oh yeah, A nice party game. I can plug this old Laptop into the HDTV. :D

Living in China so I buy a lot of stuff on Taobao, the Chinese version of eBay. You can find all sorts of crazy stuff there, and I have bought many bootleg famicom games and weird handhelds that I'll upload pics of another time.

In the meantime, something strange arrived in the mail today. Did anyone know Final Fantasy 7 was released for the GBA? Well, in China it apparently was. If you look at the pics, on the box and cartridge it actually says "Game Coy Advance" instead of Boy. Cheeky!

Bought it for 30 RMB including postage, that's roughly 3 GBP, 5 USD. Haven't tested it yet as I'm still at work. But here's some pics in the meantime.

I just got back from my vacation in Maine, and I hauled these out of the great northern wilderness:

I do not recall individual prices, but most of the titles were about $3.00. (Fire Emblem was a bit more at $15, but still well-below market value.) I also picked up a few nice things for my secret santa recipient, but I obviously am not going to post those items here.

EDIT: Since RC Helicopter and RC Stunt Copter are the only RC helicopter games in existence, I apparently picked up a complete library of RC helicopter games for a mere $6.00. Was this a good investment? According to the founder of Shiny games, RC Stunt Copter alone saved him literally thousand of dollars on a real RC helicoter. Accordingly, by purchasing two RC helicopter games - and applying that logic - I have saved literally tens of thousands of dollars since I may now forego purchasing at least two RC helicopters during my lifetime.

holy shit dood, that's amazing! Is it just the FF7 NES bootleg game that was released in China running on GBA? Even if it is, that is really really awesome.

Interesting cart, might just be a pirated NES game converted or be a homebrew of sorts. Your picture attachment is huge, making your post hard to read.

You can use this set of commands with brackets [] instead of {} in your Reply:

There are other helicopter games however, RC Stunt Copter is one of the best! Very hard to control, the physics are very good. You have complete Collective, Cycle, Rudder and Throttle control. Once you get the hang of it, try the level where you run the football field. See how many goal posts you can fly thru.

Thank you. I think that - since I saved literally tens of thousands of dollars - I should submit to RC Helicopter games for $6.00 as a "find of the year". (Unless, of course, someone finds two football games for less than $6.00...If so, we could cancel both the 2012 and 2013 seasons and save literally hundreds of millions of dollars!!! That would be the find of the century!)
