Hi, I'm trying to find a wall mount for my 19" lcd tv which will allow me to switch back and forth between tate and yoko modes. Does anyone know of anything available in the UK? I haven't had any luck in shops, with responses ranging from no idea what I meant, to looks that suggested I'd just grown a pair of horns and sacrificed a virgin on the counter. Surely it can't be this hard to find a rotating mount?

Keep looking especially in Cheaper PC (parts) stores. And there´s ebay.
I want one that does 50", but those are really expensive 300+

Thanks. There seems to be some confusion with ebay dealers etc though, as the term "rotatable" seems to misinterpreted. They assume that I mean able to rotate sideways, like round courners etc, if you ser what I mean!

Re: rotatable tv mount?
It's not that uncommon for PC monitors to be able to rotate to a portrait setup rather than landscape. Might be a more common feature to find in replacement stands/arms intended for desk mounting.
This might work though, and isn't too pricey.

Yeah, and they're fairly difficult to rotate, at least the one I saw.d123456 wrote:Keep looking especially in Cheaper PC (parts) stores. And there´s ebay.

HD TV brackets tend to be over priced. Maybe build one using parts from a hardware store? I'm thinking a Lazy Susan Bearing Plate with brackets from the Hardware or Simpson aisle.Spyke wrote:Hi, I'm trying to find a wall mount for my 19" lcd tv which will allow me to switch back and forth between tate and yoko modes.

Re: rotatable tv mount?
there are some for sale here:
http://www.mounts.com/flat-panel-mounts/rotating
shipping to the UK would probably hurt
something smaller like 19" could probably use a Neo-Flex LCD Arm but it's kinda a desk thing, not sure if you could wall mount it...
maybe hang a cool shelf on the wall for the console to sit on and rock something like this:

Re: rotatable tv mount?
I'm trying to find something similar for my desk (23" LCD monitor) that could TATE it. I haven't really given it much thought, but there must be a fairly easy way to do it without having to mount it on a wall.
EDIT: Think I'll get something like this --

Nice find! I've ordered one too. Looks ideal for my purposes.noiseredux wrote:EDIT: Think I'll get something like this --
The original "rotatable" wall mount featured earlier in this thread turned out on delivery NOT to be rotatable. Or it is rotatabl;e before installation, but not afterwards. Your choice of landscape or portrait format is permanent once mounted.
