Dimps aquires rights to the Rumble Fish series from SEGA!

Post by CD AGES »

Anyone who's played this Atomiswave arcade (or on PS2) fighter knows how exciting this news is. Only 2 installments of this under rated fighter has seen the light of day. Here's hoping the future looks bright for this series!

Excellent news. I have never gotten to try Rumble Fish, but I really want to based on what I have seen and heard. Here is hoping any future installments make it to our shores.

I love RF1 on the PS2. I have played it too little. I am going to play it more.
For those that don´t know it´s a 2D fighter

RF2, I have never seen. Is it possible to emulate it somehow?
Why is this news relevant? What does it mean? Will it be rereleased as a ps2 classic on psn?
Will part 2 finally be ported? A remake? Or Rumble Fish 3?
Can you link the source, I am curious what this means for RF fans

I love the first Rumble Fish game. It was one of the first JP PS2 games I got and I played it to death. Never got the chance to play the second one unfortunately. I also really love Dimps in general so this is good news all around. Here's to hoping both games get some kind of re-release for PS3/360 with online play.

Looks like this news is already showing positive results!

Seems Dimps is re-releasing RF2 in the arcades in Asia via Taito's NESICA live arcade service. At this rate, a console release via digital distribution seems inveitable :D

That is indeed good news. Can´t wait until it hits psn or live.

if that's the case, there's a possibility they want to bring it out to the consoles. My only problem with the game is the lack of characters, but it was a decent fighter.
