I was just curious as I'm putting my ps2 away until the winter so I won't sell it and regret it later, Does anyone feel that the gamecube as a whole have better games or more appealing games than that to a ps2. I am not trying to see which system is better the cube or the ps2 because they are both great but I have had both for a while now and I feel like I have been playing more cube than the ps2. It's weird too because I love fighting and shmups and arcade but that's what I have my modded xbox for.
Also is there a site where they made a list for gamecube exclusives only? I know racketboy made one for dreamcast but I can't find anything for the gamecube.
I don't want anyone to argue over this please. I just want gamers just to tell thier own opinion on what they feel if gamecube has just as good or if not better quality of games than the ps2 or vice versa.
One more thing I also noticed that the same games that came out for all 3 systems xbox, gamecube,ps2 the gamecube has special add on's to the games. What I mean is fight night round 2 has super punch out and mk deception has 2 extra fighter's only for the cube. Is there a list that tells the gamecube or ps2 or even xbox exclusives for the same game?

I suggest stop worrying about which console is better and just enjoy the games. You'll sleep better at night.

Agreed. But also Gamecube has Nintendo exclusive games, so yeah, I definitely see why you are enjoying more haha!gtmtnbiker wrote:I suggest stop worrying about which console is better and just enjoy the games. You'll sleep better at night.

This can go back and forth, PS2 has more stuff in Resident Evil 4. Gamecube has Link in Soul Caliber II.pankakes123 wrote:Agreed. Agree with gtmtnbiker, just play and discover the games for each system. Silly to put a console away until winter, every console has unique games to enjoy. This is based on what an individual likes, not what others tell you to play.

Re: questions on ps2 games and gamecube games
PS2 just has way more games, not always good ones, perhaps, but still alot.
IMHO the ps2 has better racing games, shmups and fighters. Although GC has F-Zero GX which is one of the greatest racing masterpieces ever, the library and range is still pretty poor. But if you like zelda´s, mario´s the GC is the better system. The Wavebird rules and way more games have 480p on the GC.

Yeah, Gamecube had a lot of really nice looking and high res games, so that is another bonus. Plus wavebird does rule. I'd say the biggest crippling factor of the Gamecube was the discs. They only held 3 GB compared to the 7+ GB of a PS2 and Xbox disc.d123456 wrote:PS2 just has way more games, not always good ones, perhaps, but still alot.

Talk to the tens of thousands of PS2 owners like myself who constantly deal with failing lasers and inability to play blue-backed and PS1 games.Goregasm wrote:The Ps2 Is a beast and all other consoles cower in fear before it.

haha yeah your right I did have alot of problems with the fat ones, but my slim has served well for a long time now. My love for the ps2 is mainly because of it's library. Also the games are cheap and super easy to find.pankakes123 wrote:Talk to the tens of thousands of PS2 owners like myself who constantly deal with failing lasers and inability to play blue-backed and PS1 games.Goregasm wrote:The Ps2 Is a beast and all other consoles cower in fear before it.Happened to my PS2 after a year, yet my 10 year old Gamecube still trucks on without any problems. Same deal with my Xbox. PS2 has an amazing game library and pretty good hardware as well, but it breaks REALLY easily and often.
