That's another one of those games I've thought about downloading off Xbox Live Arcade. I've played the Cube version but never finished it. One thing I didn't like is that it seems impossible not to die in that game. It's not as well designed as the Metal Slugs or Contras. Either that or I suck. Has anyone on this board become a pro at the game? Can you blast through it without continuing or dieing. If so, any tips?

I think the coolest part is it was originally a flash game on Newgrounds. Maybe I should start learning flash and make a kick ass game and get 5% royalty or something like that.nocturnalnerd wrote:Just starting playing Yesterday on my GC and I have to say that this game is AWESOME.

I've played it with my wife a number of times -- great stuff.nocturnalnerd wrote:I also suck as right now I am eating up a lot of continues. Each time I play it gets a little bit easier though. Anyone try it in coop mode.
There are some cheap shots, but I really don't care.
Also, give the PDA minigames a try -- they're top-notch as well in a very different way.
I know for a fact Ack spent hours playing them at Momocon

I wouldn't classify them as party games, but they are great for parties.nocturnalnerd wrote:I am two days in. I am in the soviet union stages. It is getting a lot harder now. Right now the game is kicking my ass. Are any of the other mini games good for Party games etc. Although in my family if we get out the GC for party games we will be playing Super Monkey Ball.
You can play with up to 4 players (as stick figures) to all get through these little mini-levels with traps and puzzles

I haven't played the GBA one, but I think I've heard that its decent.larme wrote:what's the difference between the GC version and the gba version? I love the gamecube one and wondering if I should get the gba one.

I'd probably recommend the console versions, but if you're limited to the GBA, that would probably be fine...
