1. Anyone who does not care for a CIB game. Sadly there are a lot out there, look at all the trade ins.

2. It is weird, my guess is the employees are misplacing the cases since the opened game discs are kept behind the counter. Maybe the display case is stolen so a generic case is made?

Most retail stores reduce a price or mark down product that is incomplete. Gamestop should change and merchandise the game to used since it is no longer in NEW Condition.

gameinformer continues to piss me off beyond belief. I wish ever so much I didn't have to shell out coins for this garbage.

When two people pointed out that Master Chief was not a Marine, the editor allowed some jackass to respond with "Once again proved that readers will complain about anything". No one wants to pay for this piece of shit magazine, and I wish my rewards money wasn't going to these ass hat slap nuts.

gameinformer was good up until the current generation started. At some point after that, it just got really shitty for some reason. They also went to Nintendo bashing, which seems to be a common thing nowadays.

Yeah, I noticed that one too. It bugged me when I read it, too. Funny thing is, after reading the latest issue today, I was gonna start a bitching thread about the magazine, but you've already beaten me to the punch.

And in that same issue, I also couldn't freaking believe that Nintendo got a D+ for their E3 presentation, and both Microsoft and Sony scored higher than them? WTF?! Nintendo's Wii presentation and new entries loved franchises like Mario and Rayman got me all kinds of excited! Sony and Microsoft's were frankly, boring. I don't need 2 hours of business men babbling to me about Microsoft Smart Glass. Other than that only Halo 4 which we already knew plenty about beforehand, and Watch Dogs really excited me.

I've also noticed that nearly every review in the magazine is just a play-by-play of the level they were playing. Like literally stuff like: I went down this corridor, took a right, and took out 3 enemies. What kind of review is that? I want to know how the game plays, how the graphics look, an idea of what the story is about, and how all those parts came together.

I definitely will not be renewing. Especially considering how cool the last issue of Nintendo Power I picked up was. Maybe I'll subscribe to it instead.

To be fair, and I haven't read a GameInformer since last gen, I too was disappointed by what the big N brought to E3 this year. I can't defend it. The Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct video got me way more excited than what they showed off at the actual presentation, which sadly soured my excitement for the new console.

I think I'll hold back until I can see what the thing is actually capable of. I just wanted a new Metroid, Super Mario Universe (you know what I mean), Starfox, F-Zero, brand new first party IP (NintendoLand doesn't count) - SOMETHING! We knew Pikmin 3 was coming weeks before the event.

Glad to see not everyone felt the same way, though. I didn't even bother to watch Sony/Microsoft's presentations.

I gotta disagree politely I was quite exited about the wii u. Sure the e3 may not have been exceptionally exciting, but that should not sway you from buying a system.
The fact is wii u will be amazing and it technology will of course be ahead of anything that's out right now. That s just a fact and also The wii was and is fantastic and this will have all nintendo has to offer along with Hd and now current generation graphics

I plan to have this day one im not waiting to see how powerful it is cause i know nintendo and this system will be great. To not buy a system based on not being hyped at e3 is really just ridiculousness. You should be more afraid of the stuff that looks to great.

there was a time once a decade ago.....

when gameinformer bashed on the original XBOX.

they gave it many crappy reviews for their first games.

There were different editors back then.

I actually do read the magazine, when I'm waiting in traffic. sometimes to cross the border,

This mag is okay, I only get the magazine cause it comes along with the power up rewards card.

I havent paid a subscription without the card since probably 2000

Facts huh, those sound an awful like like opinions to me.

Not everyone has the same dedication to brand loyalty as you, marketing matters and E3 left most fence-sitters less than excited for their new console.

BACK ON TOPIC:

I've actually stopped shopping at Gamestops that throw away used DS cases and manuals. I'm assuming its a management decision since some stores still have them and others don't. I don't look at anything else in the store if I see only loose DS games, I'm not giving them my business.

Okay, let's say that I agree with you about the Wii U (I don't, I'm pretty psyched about it). Even then, can you honestly say that either Microsoft or Sony deserved a higher score than Nintendo for their presentations?
