I say get the good ones for PS1 too. Arc the Lad Collection, Alundra, and the 2 Lunars are practically a must for RPG fans; plus they can be had for reasonable prices (especially if you don't need all the extras that some of the releases come with).
Elemental Gearbolt is an awesomely unique light gun shooter, if you have a Guncon and a tube-TV. Also quite affordable if you pick your auctions right.
...and you may as well get the 3 PS2 games too. They are good and the going prices for them are too low to ignore (be aware that they are CD/purple disc games).
But, Sega CD is what originally made me a WD fan (I'll mourn their passing forever
). I'd understand if that's where you start.
I'd pick out the art you want for the Lunar disc and then hunt it down. To me it's an entirely different game than the PS1 release, and well worth having.
Lunar 2 (why is there only 1 disc variant?) is awesome on either system (but so much more impressive on the humble Sega CD).
I still need to play through Popful Mail. I guess I've been saving it for a special day/week.

This game is also amazing using the ps1 mouse and you can use any TV this way.nightrnr wrote:Elemental Gearbolt is an awesomely unique light gun shooter, if you have a Guncon and a tube-TV. Also quite affordable if you pick your auctions right.
EDIT: Updated my list from page 2, added Vasteel and some Buy it Now going rates on all the games.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Oh, that's right!TEKTORO wrote:This game is also amazing using the ps1 mouse and you can use any TV this way.
Nice to know there's still a decent way to play the game on modern TVs. Regular controllers just don't cut it.
Still, I hope I always have access to an older TV and a couple Guncons. The original experience is hard to beat.
