I believe this is the same person who did a video of a modded Agetec DC MIDI controller (judging by the one I see in the background!). Cool stuff. The music reminds me of Flying Lotus.J T wrote:Check out Side Brain as he uses an NES pad as a MIDI controller for triggering samples in Ableton Live.

One of the things that really stood out for me when playing Lollipop Chainsaw was the music. These tracks are fucking good.
(fucking metal \M/)
(the part at 1:20 sounds like something out of Castlevania)
and those links aren't even including the awesome licensed music that's in the game (Children of Bodom, Sleigh Bells, Arch Enemy. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Toni Basil, etc.) I'm voting this as one of the best soundtracks of 2012. They seriously killed it in the game's audio department.

Brinstar Depths + Torvus Bog Subterranean Theme
So stoked to finally play my Metroid Prime Trilogy when I finish up some games hopefully sometime soon. I bought the Trilogy when it was brand new (glad I did), when I didn't have a Wii for the longest time. Replaying the first two with the superior Wii controls (only time I can ever say that), widescreen on a bigger HDTV, and with awesome headphones... it's going to be insane.

William Kage uses sound fonts and samples from SNES games to create new tracks that sound as if they are unreleased songs from the games they originally come from. If you want to hear new music that sounds like it could have been in the soundtrack for Super Metroid, Final Fantasy IV, or Chrono Trigger, then check this guy out.
He also just released an album called Halfont that comes in a SNES cartridge if you buy the physical release:

I saw that awhile back and would love to get the CD sometime if it's still available. Almost brought me to tears.
Langrisser II sure has some incredible music on the Genesis!

That was pretty sweet. I'm going to have to search for this soundtrack! A Story Forever was my favorite track of the two.Xeogred wrote:I saw that awhile back and would love to get the CD sometime if it's still available. Almost brought me to tears.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World has some of the cheeriest tunes I've ever heard:
