FINALLY!

Finally I figured out something that has been driving me crazy for years:

Joel Osteen looks and acts with the same fake smile as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor/Tim Allen.

The act, the gesticulation, facial structure, posture, and bull shit act are all the same.

As I was looking through the CDs at Goodwill today (looking for Playstation games or what have you) I found a CD-I game, International Tennis Open, I know that's not fascinating or worth anything but I thought it was pretty cool because it was complete and in awesome condition. The disc looked like it had never even been played and I've definitely never seen any CD-I games in the wild. I didn't buy it or anything, just thought it was neat.

You just noticed that now? From the moment I saw Olsteen, I thought Tim Allen had written a self-help book; it took me like, a year to realize it was a different person! :P

How about Tom Hanks and Bill Murray? Sure, they look different now, but for a while, I had a hard time telling them apart, too. Anybody with me on this?

In a battle between Tom Hanks and Bill Murray, I'll pick Tom Hanks every time. Something about Bill Murray aggravates me, even though Ghost Busters was really good.

I was listening to the episode of Retronauts where they interviewed a bunch of Tengen programmers, and was at the part where one of them was describing the design of the unreleased Police Academy NES game. I used to think that the bizarre and often hilarious aesthetic abstraction on retro games was due only to hardware limitations and genre popularity, but it looks like I was wrong. Sure, that played a role, but it really turns out that game designers from that era were simply batshit insane. The way he ever so casually described a giant bobble head, cigar-spitting drill sergeant level boss that can only be defeated by a laser gun-toting Michael Winslow riding a doughnut-fueled jetpack in order to rescue a chipmunk was probably what convinced me.

Do you enjoy Wes Anderson films? Murray is incredible in them. GROUNDHOG DAY, WHAT ABOUT BOB, hell, I even love Murray in CADDYSHACK.

You and Burning Doom's wife should get together and talk about how you hate some of the best things ever (it was BD's wife who didn't like Beetlejuice right?).

I've always enjoyed a good Bill Murray performance; Groundhog Day is probably my favorite Romantic Comedy of all time. He has such a subversive subtle wit that makes him a delight to watch. :)

Bill Murray has never played a bad role. Except Garfield.
