I just bought this game, complete with box and manual, for only about 400 yen over the weekend. I tried out the battle system and boy, you are right---it does put an interesting, unique spin on battles! Rotating with the L and R shoulder buttons to decide which enemies to face is rather unique.Protronrob wrote:There is a game for the SFC called Aretha, i have no idea what the story line is as i read and speak no Japanese. the reason i mention it though is the combat system, while it is set up like a normal RPG(fight, spells, run, ect) you get attacked from 4 directions during battle and have to switch which direction you are attacking and or defending from, it leads to some interesting combat developments.

That's a pretty cool mechanic, thanks. I'll definitely need to look into that.
If anyone's heard of Dragon Force or have ever played it, Dragon Force 2 for the Saturn is great. Adds a lot from the original, and the menus are the same mostly, so if you've played the original enough, it's a lot easier to navigate the sequel if you don't know Japanese, like me.

Huge RPG fan.
