Vampire Bloodlines is a bloody, sexy & deliciously adult role playing that was criminally overlooked when it was first released for the PC back in 2004. However, this cult classic lives on with updated fan patches and mods that make this excellent RPG even better.

Have you played it?

Make sure and get the fan made mods & patches. They help greatly.

Also, word of advice: Do not neglect your combat skills. You will need them for the end of the game.

Good overview. I had a roommate that played through this when it was new, but I was obviously engrossed in something else as I don't remember paying all that much attention. Perhaps I'll pick it up some day.

I remember reading about the game and telling a friend about it when he told me it was going to be impossible to find in the wild. And just as we got to the next shop there was a copy waiting for me there

But he got his revenge when we found out my copy was incomplete. And it remained uncomplete until two weeks ago, when I found someone willing to sell me the cds. And now that I'm getting into the tabletop game, it can be used as inspiration. (Though I heard it's set in 2004, which means it probably gets into Gehena stuff and that's simply not fit for newbies)

Have to admit I haven't watched your video yet, which is surprising given I actually enjoy you talking about games and I'm actively interesting in the topic but I don't want to know anything about the game before playing it. It's not often that I start playing a game without knowing it inside out so I want to keep that experience.

What patches do you guys recommend?

Most people recommend you play with the WESP unofficial patch, which fixes the game but doesn't completely alter the original vision. However, after your first playthrough, then add mods that change up gameplay (like allowing you to take along an NPC character)

One of my favorite games. It truly was/is "criminally overlooked." I haven't played it through since 2005, but I'm definitely eager to try some of these above mentioned mods.

Does this game work on Windows 7 64 bit without 3rd party patches? dont have any machines with XP anymore, also what is the highest supported resolution for this without patches?

*edit* Nevermind, found this thread with all the info i need for 7 64 bit!

I remember this coming out, but was over-shadowed by many other games in 2004, they should of put it on the oXbox.
