I'm not talking about a historical impact, I'm talking about a technological impact, which no doubt goes hand n hand with the art these machines are able to create.noiseredux wrote:

I did take issue with the exhibits being displayed on LCDs instead of traditional, interlaced CRTs. I don't see how the ghost AI in Pac Man figures into the aesthetic however.General_Norris wrote:Didn't stop them from using LCD screens or only giving historical data on Pac Man instead of explaining the ghost AInoiseredux wrote:the exhibit is about the ART of video games. I went there yesterday afternoon before Game 6 between the Caps and Bruins. Got some good pictures of some stuff on my FB. The exhibit was smaller than I expected.

Me and the wife are hoping to go swing by this before it's out of town. It might not be perfect, but it's a really cool exhibit and we get to check out the rest of DC and the museum too.

I'm heading to the Smithsonian with my girlfriend in August. It has nothing to do with this exhibit, I forgot it was even going on this year, but I'll probably check it out anyway.

When I was very you and started collecting we decided that we wanted 2 of everything boxed and unboxed and we were gonna donate to the smithsonian.
OF course still far from it but I have built up quite a comprehensive video game collection Although now that im older really I could not just donate all my stuff away lol but if i had two of everything that was the goal
