For Mike, since you asked about medals.

You can max the medal value on the first stage, but you have to do exactly what is done on the superplay. That's how I played, and messing up on stage 1 was frustrating, but once you max medals out you can just blast shit up and collect the big points.

I'm getting way too frustrated trying to max out on stage 1. Like...annoyed frustrated.

Umm, am I able to max out later on? I keep bumping into my Slaves as i'm about to max grey, etc - and I hate resetting.

On the other hand, if I can't get it down, then I can't keep up on score. Maybe i'll just focus on the ALL. How many stages are there?

I played a few games tonight. It's ironic that my best run was my first one. I made it to the stage 5 boss. After that, I only made it to St 5 one other time.

I'm messing around with the different ships too. I haven't tried the slave yet though. Hell Diver has the best speed for me so far. I really like playing with Judge Spear, but it's too fast. Those green missiles are awesome, makes me want to play VP1.
