Metroid real life props/costume - Power Suit, Baby Metroid +

Post by Platinumfungi »

Lately I've been working on video game themed props and costumes for Youtube videos. The most recent project was for a short recreation of the intro from Super Metroid:

- I made the helmet, did all the LED lighting, repainted parts of the power suit, created the Metroid hatchling, and created the Metroid egg. To see all my projects, updates, and more info, please check out my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Platinumfungi

- A very talented Cosplayer named Kelly Johnson created the Power Suit (sans helmet, some of the painting, and all the LED lighting). She's the one wearing the suit. To check out her work: https://www.facebook.com/kbjohnson.design

- This is a short Youtube fan video by the group "mikeNgary". If you'd like to watch the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzOXtF2WAbg&feature=plcp

It was a fun project to be part of, and I hope you guys enjoy the photos :D

Thanks for looking!

I saw that short the other day. Thought it was pretty fun and the props and stuff looked pretty good for what was obviously a small budget. Good job sir. :)

Nice work. And good job in going for the yellow/red suit, and not that stupid blue one.

Very cool
Even cooler to see someone from my neck of the woods doing this kind of stuff.
