Not to be saucy but, on an iPod or other digital music player, and keep the CDs in their cases.

I've got some bad-ass 80s mixtapes made in the 80s... I think I have a tape player somewhere.

You are scaring me big time. I thought those binders are made to store cd's in them not scratch them. I already have them stored in these for about like 2 years now.

Even if you're super careful, dirt will sneak in there and you're sliding discs in and out so they scrape against the sleeve. There is no way around that. If you look at a CD/DVD case, it holds the middle and maybe the edge. There is no contact in the area where the data is. With sleeves it is sandwiched in there. Every time you move the case around or flip through the pages the disc all move around a little bit and if a grain of dirt snuck in there it will start scratching even if it isn't a disc that you use a lot. If you have a really full binder or put things on top of it, you're squeezing that dirt into the disc and you could also warp the discs so they end up wobbling so that they're harder to read too.

I'd probably have more than enough space with what I have if I were willing to swap out some of my older music for some of my newer stuff, but I know as soon as I do I'll want to listen to something that I've already taken off the iPod.

I need that 120GB one that you've got. But, knowing me, even that might not be big enough

Well, technically the iPod classic I have isn't large enough for the entire music collection but then again, I have a lot of CDs >>> MP3s I ripped that are most definitely 1-hit wonders or only 3~4 good songs so I actually can't put my "entire" CD collection on there but then again I wouldn't want to either. ;)
I really do want something that is iPod compatible but has a 1TB drive inside for movies or music. The Pioneer audio/navigation systems are pretty damn nice and I gotta get one of those soon.
