Games Acquired 2012

January : 74 (added) / 24 (sold or traded away)
February: (added) 18 / 1 (sold or traded away)
March: 34 (added)/0 (sold or traded away)

April: 6 (added)/ 0 (sold or traded away)
May: 17 (added) / 1 (sold or traded away)

June: 9 (added) / 2 (sold or traded away)

This month was another lean one, which is actually how I currently see much of the rest of the year going...I expect more going out than coming in during July, for example. On top of that, 2/3 of the purchases were digital! Just not feeling the "collector" bug of late outside of pinball-related games...

Wii:
Sonic Colors

GBA:
Mario Pinball

PSP:
Strikers 1945 Plus
Street Fighter 3 Alpha Max
Power Stone Collection
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower

360
Guardian Heroes

Dreamcast:
Gunlord CE

iOS
Midway Arcade

----------

And some "why not" stats at the half way point:

# of games acquired: 158 (almost half of which were in January)
# physical: 119
# digital: 39

# of games traded away/sold: 28 (all but 4 of which were in January)

Totals:
+130 games added to the collection (91 games added to the physical collection)

Proudest purchase: Ketsui Death Label (NDS)
Best value: Pinball Arcade (PSN)

Here's my list so far....will update as things come along :)

I've noticed my current gen systems haven't gotten much love this year. I've had so many games backlogged for the Wii, 360, and PS3 that I haven't picked up any of the cool things that have come out this year. The advantage is that they should be cheap by the time they come my way.

I didn't buy any games between January and mid-May, but I've made up for that since then, especially in the last few days:

May 18: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (PS3)

July 7: F-Zero (SNES), The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3), MLB Front Office Manager (PS3), Final Fantasy X (PS2), Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (SNES), and X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (SNES).

All three of my local used game stores were having "Buy Two, Get One Free" sales this weekend. I ended up spending about thirty-five dollars on Saturday for those six games and a new composite cable for my Dreamcast.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this:

July 8: Aero the Acro-Bat (SNES)

I picked it up for $1 at a yard sale.
Consoles: NES, SNES, DC, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DS, PS4.

Oh man. I got a pretty good find today on Craigslist. I paid $40 and got:

-An NES
-Two controllers
-A Zapper light gun
-A Game Genie with a manual/codebook with a copyright date of 1991
-A Power Pad, in box, with the Wal-Mart price sticker reading "$69.97" still intact.
-Super Mario Bros. and SMB 3
-Double Dragon
-Little Nemo: The Dream Master (boxed)
-Back to the Future
-World Class Track Meet
-Duck Tales
-Double Strike

And holy crap. I just looked in the Little Nemo box to see if the manual was in there, since the game was outside of the box for some reason, and I found... the manuals for Back to the Future, SMB3, Double Strike, Little Nemo, and the Power Pad, plus all kinds of inserts, little cards asking for Nintendo Power subscriptions, a couple of those "Now You're Playing with Power" posters, two small Capcom posters, and a manual for Sonic and Knuckles with a small insert featuring Sonic & Knuckles merchandise (?!). Wow.
Consoles: NES, SNES, DC, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DS, PS4.
