Re: new ps3 model
It looks pretty good from most angles that aren't the top. That ridged design is ass.
It's nice to see a version that is no longer a square, but a rectangle. Even if it's not much thinner than the slim (can you actually make it thinner than that?) it's obviously reducing a lot of materials size considering it's a completely different form factor.
If it's legit, that is. (though someone would have to go through GREAT effort to fake this)
Also, from an aesthetic point of view it looks about as cheaply made as the PSP-4000 looked compared to previous models.

Re: new ps3 model
I'm getting it. I always like smaller more power efficient versions of consoles. Hopefully there will be a white option.

Re: new ps3 model
...is it just me or does that look like it could be a top loader?
I do like top loaders. Generally more reliable than slot loading type stuff.
It would also make sense as to why the recent ps3 updated changed the wording of "eject disc" to "remove disc"

I also perfer top loader type consoles but DAMN! that's one ugly looking console
I wonder if such drastic redesign will carry with it a price drop? How much does a Brand new PS3 cost these days?
