where is it $40? Gamestop and Bestbuy both still have it listed as $60. Amazon has it for $50, but seems to be a sale, not a price drop.
That so weird it was forty at gamestop it said online. It shower the 60.00 price crossed out and then 39.99 they maby messed up and changed it back or it was a sale

Im like WTF!?

Cool, got an email from Gamefly. LC is on its way. I put both versions in my queue and they're sending the PS 3 version. I don't know if there's any difference between this and the 360 version, and I don't think digital foundry or lens of truth are gonna bother doing comparisons on a game that didn't get stellar reviews - not good enough for their attention - but I do enjoy playing brawler type games on a PS 3 controller. So I'm kind of glad that's the version they're sending. I don't why, but I think I might enjoy this one more than Shadows of the Damned. By its very nature as a brawler it's got more appeal for me than SoTD.

Prologue stage is pretty fun, I hope the rest of the game is. It feels sort of like some Dreamcast era arcade beat'em up. I like that, makes me nostalgic. Speaking of nostalgia, the soundtrack has some cool retro classics like Lollipop by the Chordettes and Toni Basil's Mickey.

The combat system seems alright so far. That's what's gonna make or break this game for me. Some of the moves are a lot of fun, like vaulting over a zombie and sticking a chainsaw under his crotch before slicing him vertically in half. Zombies come at you in large numbers and are fast and aggressive. Hack and slashing doesn't seem to do much, if the first stage is anything to go by. You need to do certain move combinations to quickly kill zombies(like the crotch move I just mentioned) or hit R2 when you fill up your energy bar for what I can only call "super" mode (at which point Toni Basil starts singing Mickey, which is pretty awesome)

I finished the tutorial stage without a great rank, so this might be a good title for high score hunters. I mean, if you can't even ace a freaking tutorial stage on the first try. Wow

Also, while every single bit of info on this game already spoiled her cutting off her boyfriend's head, it was still pretty funny to watch. I just thought that scene was well done

usually when I play games I like to get A or S ranks, but I'm struggling with this one.

All I see is D!!!
That's about what I'm getting after playing that stage 2 or 3 times. I don't mind though, if getting high ranks is tough, presumably it means that the game has some depth. Maybe it'll be easier to get a good rank when I get some more moves

There's something humbling about finishing a tutorial stage with a C or D rank

Oh great, another game with save copy lock.

Well, that seriously lowers my opinion of this game

Are we back in the stone age? Might as well go back to battery back ups on cartridges

It's not a nitpick. I have a serious problem with save copy locks, and it seems more prevalent on PS 3 games. I'm seriously thinking about jail breaking my PS 3 to get around this shit in my games, assuming that's even possible. I love the freedom my hacked PSP gives me. This is why people do shit like that.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. On a more positive note, don't know if there are any Sleigh Bell fans on this board. Riot Rhythm is the second stage music, or first stage I guess if you don't count the prologue/tutorial stage. I have nothing but praise for this game's soundtrack

I'm about four stages in and the combat isn't really improving. The camera is wonky, there's no crowd control moves, and I'm pretty much getting by with the same vault over, vertical chainsaw slice combo. Only thing that is annoying is that the vault is so random. Half the time she just does a regular jump. It's not as 100% dependable as the vault over move in the Batman games for those of you who've played Arkham Asylum or Arkham City.

The comedy is really going down hill. You know I don't mind juvenile humor, if you can at least do it cleverly, but it's all so blatant and predictable. I'm not exaggerating when I say that it's starting to feel like a 13 year old wrote the dialog in this game. You rescue some random guy and he says he's going to masturbate to you tonight. You meet an old man, and he's the typical Japanese, pervy old guy trope who sticks his head in Juliette boobs every other scene if feels like. The game tries very hard to be cool too by throwing random pop culture references at you, many of which are pretty outdated. Oh wow, they mentioned My Chemical Romance! Wow!

Was Suda clever once? I know people say he was but I have a very, very hard time believing it. Did someone lobotomize him?

Also, quick time events galore, for any of you who are into that sort of thing. And yes, you do die if you miss a prompt.

So yeah, those of my thoughts, if anyone cares.

Play Killer 7 sometime. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the lack of juvenile humor. I definitely has some dark humor, but it's more just... surreal and odd.
