I think it's worth it for the ones I mentioned. But it certainly isn't worth it to a lot of people. It's certainly not as worth it as it was even a year or two ago.

DDP DOJ makes it worth it to me. So does Radirgy Noa Massive. Ketsui to a lesser extent. Plus iM@S for me. Not a shmup series.

For sure. Mike could get DOJ for about the price of a system and 2 of those games, and he already has a Ketsui pcb (must... bottle...up....jealousy)

Its worth it just for Kets to me, but DOJ went from my favorite DDP to my 3rd fav, not counting BL stuff. It still has some of the best music I've heard in a game.

None of em can touch Muchi Muchi Pork's greatness though!

So after my runs, I turned off the system and my son, who watched me play for a good 30 mins says, "You need to do more bullet canceling." Possibly, the cutest thing ever. Then of course, he wanted to play.

His very first run he put up nearly 4mil / Arcade-Default.

For Mike, since you asked about medals.

In order to reach the gold 10k medals, you must not only chain green medals to 9000, but also chain blue medals to 900 and grey medals to 90.

No slaves = Grey
1 Slave = Blue
2 Slaves = Green.

Now, you have to get 9 of the 10k medals on screen at once. They will explode, and you can then chain the gold bars up to 100k. If you don't do this, they stay at 10k.

You can max the medal value on the first stage, but you have to do exactly what is done on the superplay. That's how I played, and messing up on stage 1 was frustrating, but once you max medals out you can just blast shit up and collect the big points.

Tried using a slave ship this time. Those little buggers are hard to keep an eye on...especially if you have 2 slave ships in tow.
