Sure do. You can also, for around a similar price, get one that does VGA and S-Video so in the future... if he ever does get a TV that accepts VGA, he already has the box. Getting the Composite and S-Video... doesn't really help in the long run.nateup2 wrote:No, actually they make a Dreamcast composite/S-video cable.
That's purely an opinion. My opinion is I want my games to look like they looked in the arcade. I have an arcade cab so I know what Mark of The Wolves is supposed to look like. I want it to look the same on my Dreamcast as it does on my Neo Geo. Some people think the interference and dot crawl that you don't get with VGA makes the picture look better. To me, it makes it look like there's vaseline on the screen. It's soft. If he gets a vga and s-video connection, then he can form his own opinion. If he just gets an s-video cable, then he never gets a chance to decide what he likes best.nateup2 wrote: I have one because I think the many 2d DC games (minus Guilty Gear) look better through the s-vid on a regular tv than they do on my VGA monitor. For me, I prefer S-vid for most 2d games from any gen and also pretty much all console games before Dreamcast.
