:D : I have been told that my May money issue should be resolved by Friday, just in time for the Zelda concert.

:? : Now whether or not that actually happens is anybody's guess. The whole thing is making me bitter.

:D Not sure if you want me as your Dad. If I could smuggle you in, I would. Its right next to the Comic Con so some guests will be wearing costumes. Go in as a two headed monster or something.

The invite was originally myself and three guests. I sent multiple EMails back to Nintendo to find out what was going on, attaching a screenshot of the Invite. Since it was so close to the wire maybe they squeezed me in with one guest. I just feel bad that my son has to tell his two buds never mind. I'll play with the Wii Tablet and hopefully get some freebies. I may not dive into the Wii U, but curious of add on controller compatibility such as Classic Controls. The Balance Board is already advertised to work with the Wii U, maybe other controllers might too? I think they allow cameras, so I'll post a full review later.

Ticked: Viacom/DirecTV dispute. My son is a Nick/Nick Jr. addict and I have serious trouble coping without my daily Jon Stewart quotient. I have no cable options where I live, and Dish Network doesn't carry the Sunday Ticket (or AMC, apparently), which is why I went with DirecTV in the first place.

I am mostly pissed at Viacom (not DirecTV), as they have even gone so far as to take their shows down from their own websites too, so I would have no legal option for watching the shows I like. /first world problems

I have read all the relevant court documents, interviews, etc. so none of this is new to me...
I don't believe he reported to anyone else, and I don't believe that Curley was the head of "Penn State police", however, I could very well be wrong.

Not Curley, but Gary Shultz, who has been indicted, is who had oversight over University Police. Paterno told him.
Regardless, I don't think that someone comes to your home to tell you they saw "inappropriate conduct" in the locker room. I'm sure he had more specifics (just look at the report). He knew that something illegal had happened.
McQueary has testified that he didn't use any graphic language "out of respect" for Paterno when he told him. But yeah, he knew it was illegal, which is why he reported it to the highest authorities at the University.

it cannot be too far-fetched that every single person involved had their careers in mind
You can believe that all you want, but there's no factual evidence that this had anything to do with how Paterno responded.
Ticked: As evidenced above, I was willing to give Paterno the benefit of the doubt (when there could still be at least some remaining about how much he knew and how he responded), but this Freeh Report is extremely damning and meticulous in laying out its blame. I think any appreciation I ever had for Paterno now, finally, feels completely hollow and misplaced.

Know the feeling.

It's one of those curve balls you didn't see coming, and didn't want to see coming.

But unfortunately jo-pa was a grade A schmuck. I say remove his statue. Unless that is what Penn State stands for.

I would support its removal, something that was unthinkable to me even a week ago. I'm guessing that his estate and PSU will both be rightfully sued for everything that can be wrung out, and even that won't be able to adequately address the pain caused.
