Since DC is now considered is an old system and probably around the only good console that never was, you think some people in the future might release games for it?
Theres a game coming out later this month infact, a horizontal shooter called Dux;

It's a fan made game that comes on CD-R - but theres very little chance of fully-fledged companies releasing anything for the DC as SEGA no longer produce or licence GD-ROMS.

You can say, "I prefer the graphics on GTA 3 because there is more details/the textures are better/the immersion is greater" However all these arguments are subjective and not objective and thats the key. I can counter all those arguments with "the graphics on Shenmue are great because there is better art direction/environments have more immersion/the character models have a lot more detail" However I'm still being subjective here.

However I can be objective in my argument with a bit of research and say "The character models on shenmue are better because they have a higher polygon count" This is an objective opinion and is more useful to the debate rather than saying "I like this 'cuz it is gud".
Don't even try to argue with him with logic. I tried that. He's just another preteen tard who thinks anyone who disagrees with him is an idiot. Honestly, just ignore him. He's totally worthless for anything productive on the forum, like RyaN on a bad day.

Ah well, at least I reasoned with him. :) No biggie.

All I know is GTA3 should not be used in any graphical benchmarks/comparisons. It was ugly when it came out and it's even more ugly now. That series was never known for graphics.

Which one has a higher polygon count on screen? ... nice try though. I read an unfounded opinion and I responded with one that was more likely.
Where is his evidence and where is your heated response to his comment? Do I have another fan? Thanks for letting us know that opinions are subjective! What a revolutionary idea.

By the way, at no point did I say that GTA3 had great graphics or be used as a benchmark... I just responded to the original comment so any of that talk can be directed thata way. I personally prefer the graphics of Shenmue (duh), but I doubt that it flexes any technical muscles that GTA doesnt, and I know that GTA3 would not run on a DC like it does on XBOX.

As for our little sister, The Apprentice... so you made an ass of yourself in a few arguements. Its nothing personal and you should really get over it. Go play with your reviews, and leave this logic up to the grown folk.

There's no need for the attitude. Just cool it.

I never said that GTA3 should be the benchmark it's just what the OP said. Unless somebody had access to the source and a dev-kit I don't think we'll ever see any conclusive proof of which has a higher polygon count or whatever.

We can always go on what Sega/Sony said that the processing power of each console was, but that doesn't necessarily mean games look better. It's highly subjective. What i'm trying to say is that graphics are appealing on different levels to different people. A lot of people like realism in games, many people enjoy nice art direction, some people enjoy quirky graphics or graphics in a style that they haven't seen before (like Cel-shading with Jet Set Radio when it first came out).

You can't just say that X console is better because it can display more polygons etc. I mean look at the Saturn that shouldn't have been able to perform graphics like in Radiant Silvergun but it happened.

"just cool it."

Im just havin fun, brother.

"What i'm trying to say is that graphics are appealing on different levels to different people."

Agreed, as is obvious in my posts. In fact, the comment from the pink avatar that I was responding to reduced the level of graphical improvement to a "notch" - "Shenmue's graphics are a notch above that." - Pink Avatar

thats funny.

Dreamcast and Saturn are my favorite systems, by the way.

I'm pretty sure the Atari 2600 has better graphics than the Dreamcast and all of the GTA games combined. Plus having only mono sound is more pure therefore better. Also rf adapters look higher quality than HD cables.

seriously.....
