I know this is pretty off-topic but I don't really know where to put this question. However since we are all gamers here I was wondering if anyone could answer my question about Civilization 4. So basically I have a ton of jet fighters and stealth bombers, but there is a major problem. When using either a stealth bomber or a jet fighter, I will click the bomb enemy units or bomb tile improvements button, however it will not allow me to do this on any tile I highlight in the entire map. Why is it that I can not seem to use my Jet fighters or stealth bombers at all? Please help!

I don't remember how planes worked in Civ4 but probably fog of war is covering the hexes you want to bomb.

Re: Civilization 4 question from a noob player.
I. LOVE. CIV IV.
The tiles you're clicking are within the range of the planes right? When you select a plane there will be some rounded squares in the tiles you can reach with the plane. It sounds like you're selecting the action you want the planes to do from the little bar at the bottom where you issue commands to units. When you click on any of these bottoms you have to LEFT click on the tile where you want them to do it, instead of RIGHT clicking like you do to normally move or attack a tile. I think this is probably your problem. It's super annoying, I know. The only other explanation I can think of is that the units in the tile you are attacking are already at half of their hit points. You can't use planes to lower land units below half of the their hit points.
I'm so glad to be able to answer a question that's actually in one of my areas of expertise! haha! Did that help?
