[EDIT: This thread is about me asking about homebrew on the PSP. If you have any suggestions for PSP homebrew or emulation, please let me know. I've been loving it so far. The text you see in my post below is me being an excited dumbass. Sorry for being a dumbass.]
And now this whole new world has opened up to me. The land of pirating a fantastic library of games, and portable PS1 titles at near perfect emulation. I tried some of the emulators out, and so far, I'm really liking the Genesis one. The SNES emulator has too many problems for me to be able to use without pouting.
You guys have any homebrew suggestions? As I understand, the PSP has quite the homebrew scene.

Personally, I don't mind emulation; especially if you already own the game. I have emulators on my PSP and DS and quite like to use them when I'm mobile. It's like bringing a bunch of my collection with me!

That Genesis emulator is great. I use it for Thunder Force! The GBA emulators are alright too, I played FF5 on that. The NES and SNES emulators are pretty bad though.
I don't pirate PSP games, but sometimes I copy the game to my memory stick for faster loading, or to take more games with me.
Other homebrew I must recommend is the Comix Reader for .cbz comics and manga, and Bookr for reading txt/pdf files. It's not as nice as a real book or a reading tablet, but it gets the job done.

Re: Just hacked my PSP
the CPS2 emulator is awesome. Gigawing, mars matrix, vampire saviour, and MvC all run great on it.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Re: Just hacked my PSP
The PSP is still the most versatile gaming device on the planet thanks to its massive selection of homebrew and emulators (as well as still having physical controls). The system is pretty much cracked wider open than any other major console in history, and now you can pretty much do whatever you want with the little thing.
Seriously, everyone who owns a PSP should get it hacked; getting mine hacked was one of the smartest gaming-related decisions I have ever made.
Heck, even the N64 emulator runs surprisingly well! I can run Mario 64 at full speed on the PSP!skate323k137 wrote:the CPS2 emulator is awesome. Gigawing, mars matrix, vampire saviour, and MvC all run great on it.
