Frown: I was wrong. Work blows today.
Older. Not wiser.

Frown: Essentially spent my whole afternoon rebuilding my computer for no damn reason. And I still suck at cable management, does anyone have handy tips/a guide for that?
Smile: Newly cleaned, dust-free, and with a properly mounted CPU cooler (it was coasting on a half bottle of Arctic Silver before), I think it's primed for overclocking.
Frown: Google is popping up security certificate errors now

Cable ties? I also sometimes route cables under the motherboard's back edge, underneath the fans. But cable ties make things neater.sabrage wrote:Frown: Essentially spent my whole afternoon rebuilding my computer for no damn reason. Yeah, that. I used those on a PSU upgrade a few years ago and before that the cables were rubbing against the processor fan but using those kept everything much neater and less cluttered.gtmtnbiker wrote:Cable ties? What case? Get friendly with ties and shrink tubing. It's totally worth the extra effort. Most overclocking/case enthusiasts recommend dremeling...I do not. I've had more success and fewer errors with a hole saw.sabrage wrote:Frown: Essentially spent my whole afternoon rebuilding my computer for no damn reason. Smile: I received an invite to attend a Wii U session at the Nintendo room next to the Comic Con.
Frown: Responded yesterday evening, still no confirmation answer.

It's an Antec 900. Great for cooling, abysmal for cable management.s1mplehumar wrote:What case? Get friendly with ties and shrink tubing. It's totally worth the extra effort. I'm confident that the cables are in an even worse state than they were before. Yo u can barely tell, but there's 2 0-shaped holes punched into the steel on the back wall, about 1 inch apart... And that's it. So I mostly just tried to shove them in my empty drive bays if they couldn't be threaded through those holes, to mixed results.
