Uh... okay, apparently Silent Hill: Book of Memories (a.k.a.: the main reason I'll end up getting a Vita) has been pushed back to October. :?

Maybe they're just going to tie in the game release with the second film's theatrical debut?

I think it is because they (Playstation) had a lot coming out when it was originally slated for and wanted to stretch out what they had coming for the system later this year. They (Sony) probably approached them (WayForward/Konami) and said move this later this year and they (WF/Konami) said October has Halloween! Let's do that! Just my thoughts.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

So my cousin from Germany came to visit a few days ago and he was telling me that he has a psvita 3g model and he really didn't like it. I mentioned that i have wanted one for a while now and he offered to sell it to me for $200. i think it's a good price and it comes with some games i think. anyone know if this is a worthy venture? the system is region free right?

it is region free and $200 is good price, I think, especially if it includes games and a memory card. Maybe check eBay for the going rate of used Vitas? In any case, I think you'd enjoy it.

Weasels, do it! We need to play some multiplayer games again. Peace Walker was awesome. I actually just got the MGS Collection and am loving it.

Also Stark, I love your name/picture. I'm obsessed with the show right now.

I bought one in Dubai several weeks ago. I bought Dynasty Warrior (trash!), Everybody's Golf (Hot Shots in the States (fun but limited)), Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (okay, but another impulse buy. Too quirky for me), Unit 13 (meh), Uncharted: Golden Abyss (not bad but annoying touch screen/tilt features), and Mortal Kombat (awesome!).

Overall, it's a great handheld. The games so far use the touch screen in very uninventive ways and seems even more tacked on and gimmicky than early DS games. The graphics range from high-end PSP quality to just sub-PS3 quality. Mortal Kombat is the best of what I’ve played so far and takes great advantage of the graphical abilities. The battery life is great for a system with this kind of power. I have gone about 4 hours straight without running out of juice.

I paid $250 for the Wi-Fi version. I don’t see the practicality of using 3G if you have a smart phone. It’s silly. The only annoyances I have with the system are
1) that it seems prone to freezing and requiring a hard reset
2) the process of switching between games is annoying as you can just close out of one game (as far as I know) without switching to another app and attempting to run it then getting a screen asking if you want to close the game
3) the screen smudges easily
4) You MUST buy Sony's overpriced memory cards if you want to utilize game saves/download for the PS Network

I am really looking forward to picking up the Metal Gear HD collection but at this point don’t think there’s anything out there that warrants a must-buy. Though most games are amazing graphically, I'm not impressed with the depth of the early games. I don’t think it’s such a bad idea to wait until the library grows a bit and perhaps Sony works out some kinks with the firmware.
"Oh great, another box of useless sh*t."

I'm finally jumping on board and decided to get the new Madden '13 bundle from Amazon ($249.99 w/ the game - a $40ish value). Not as good as the gamestop offers (not running right now but the $50 coupon ones) but saving tax here, it washes out.

Hot Shots Golf is $20 new now at Amazon so I grabbed that as well as a 16 gig memory card.
