Dreamcast VMU Help

Post by Radiant Hero »

Good News: I just recently purchased Skies of Arcadia.

Bad News: Everytime I try to save, the game tells me that it has trouble saving completely. When I load the same file, my Dreamcast tells me that the file is corrupted.

Keep in mind that I am using a generic Mega Memory Card by Performance. It does not even have a VMU screen.
I don't play games, I experience them.

I say it is a possible bad memory card. The only way to really find out is get a known good (another vmu) and see what happens.

Most of the DC hardware is reaching towards 10 years of age now, so it could just be it is giving out. Does it do this with other game saves?

Unless your third party stuff is known for high quality, like Hori arcade sticks and Sega PS2 controllers.

As for your save problem, try formatting your memory card. If that doesn't work, get a Sega card off ebay and try that. I doubt the system has anything to do with this.
