My faith in humanity has been raised

Post by scarper »

I hate to be the guy who tells these kinds of stories on the internet, but I feel you all would get a kick out of it.

My younger sister has a close friend, who is around 10 years old. One time when he came to visit, he went in my room to say hello, but before he even made eye contact, the kid runs over to the row of video game consoles I have in the corner.

And then he did something really cool.

He said, "Wow, a Sega Saturn!! Can I play Nights into Dreams?" And so I plopped the 3D controller in his hands and gladly let him play. There are gamers my age who don't even know what a Saturn is. This kid is awesome.

Thats awesome. I wish I could meet more people like that irl; still get excited when they see a neat system or game. Its even cooler when it is the younger crowd!

Wow, that's quite the weird thing! I have only read about Nights in passing so having a ten year old know the game is a feat

Maybe he'd played the Wii sequel?

That's a good guess actually. I discovered lots of great games through playing and Googling their modern sequels first.

That's pretty damn cool. Especially considering most people my age's (20's) response is usually "wow, a Sega Saturn!... Didn't that thing suck?", if not "what's that?"
