Post by AdamGomez1987 »

Hi Guys,

The good news is that I got the hauppauge in and it's working great. The problem is that when it took around 5 hours to upload an HD vid, it ended up looking like this:

I was wondering how stop the video from being so wavy. Thanks for reading!

Edit: Oh ok seems to get wavy later in the video.

1. It shouldn't take 5 hours to upload a 6 mins video, HD or not.
2 What type of file is being uploaded?
3. What did it look like before uploading?

2. it was a .avi file which is around 1.1GB
3. The picture looks so clear and well so defined that it looks like I was playing it straight from the television set.

I'm trying again with a different format to see how this works, this one should take around an hour. This one is .MPG format and is 330MB. I just downloaded Squared5 an MPEG streamclip that will convert to MPEG4 and I looked at them side by side playing and they looked exactly the same only the .AVI is 1.1GB and the MPEG4 is 295MB when converted. Hope this works! =]

Good that was my next suggestion, convert to something. I upload 720p MP4 files and a 3 min video is about 50+mb. Plus raw footage sometimes isn't handled well online.

That is one crazy uncompressed AVI file, I can't believe that it is that huge of a file size for the time.

The picture came out great, I stream the videos at 1080i and yeah, those avi files are enormous, need to delete them before they start crowding my computer. Good thing I have a 1TB external hardrive to back these goods up. As a Vega player I'm getting pretty mediocre with him and actually hanged with A/A+ fighters and want to show others how my style of playing as Vega is. I get a lot of trash mail in my PS3 from angry gamers because I play defensive which is a must when playing someone like Vega.

It happened again, I don't know what's causing the videos to shake so badly

I wonder if you're just submitting video files that are too large and it's having trouble getting and processing them. I don't know what kind of post-processing YouTube does, but I would recommend pre-compressing them and optimizing them for streaming up front, prior to uploading.

Try Any Video Converter it is a free converter and converts to many formats. You can also set codec, frame rate, bitrate, video size, and encode pass. I use the format Mp4 at 720p a lot and it works great.

Great, I got it down now. They kept asking me on youtube if I would like to use their program to help stabilize the picture, when I clicked yes it instead messes it up to get it distorted. The video is captured in 1080i. What do you guys think of the quality? the vids are usually around less than 300MB
