That would be the Sony PlayStation. Then it would be the Philips CD-I. Nintendo was going to try and work a deal, then both companies did it on there own. I still remember the Nintendo Power spread about the SNES CD. So yes that means it was Nintendo who gave Sony the idea, imagine the Nintendo PlayStation.
