Awesome show! Not the best show on TV though or the best TV show of all time, which I bring up because people CONSTANTLY say that about Breaking Bad and The Wire. Here's the thing though, no show can ever be the best TV show of all time. No show can be everything to everyone.
Good point. I don't think I ever classified a show as best of all time but probably the closest I've come would be "Seinfeld" which was truly a great comedy. I still enjoy it from time to time when I do channel flipping.
I never cared for sci fi shows and don't see the appeal of Dr Who. I remember in school that there were were a few Dr Who fans and I thought they were wackos/nut jobs. So what is the appeal of that show?
I don't know if I can really sell you on Doctor Who if you don't like Sci Fi in general, as so much of what makes Sci Fi shows what they are is embodied in Doctor Who.
For someone who isn't into Sci Fi, I would instead recommend the Battlestar Galactica reboot from 2004. That's some great TV with lots of drama and examinations of many social issues and aspects of war and politics. It doesn't really require an appreciation of Sci Fi to enjoy. Some might say that show is one of the best dramas of all time, regardless of whether or not one is into Sci Fi.

Seriously. Screw you Shao Kahn I'm gonna play Animal Crossing.
Thing that amazes me about Doctor Who though, is that it's been around since before I was born. I'm 33, and there's a new season coming out soon. You have to be in awe of the history and continuity of this show, as well as how incredibly successful it is in the UK. I think it's just sort of embedded in their culture. He's just one of those pop culture characters who never goes away like James Bond. It's one of the reasons I think it's the greatest Sci Fi show of all time. When you've been around for like 31 seasons since 1963, there ain't a damn thing in Sci Fi you haven't done. Doctor Who isn't my personal favorite Sci Fi show though, but looking at it objectively I would say it's probably the best Sci Fi show of all time.

Don't get me wrong, I love plenty of comedy shows, but science fiction is campy enough without it being intentional.
Anyways, I really hope that Season 5 can shock me the way that the previous seasons did. "Walt's descent into madness" is absolutely entertaining, but I feel like the natural arc that the season is going to take is just further escalation between Walt and everyone he loves. I'm intentionally avoiding trailers and teasers though, so we'll see.
(Season 5 is the final one, but they're splitting it into two parts, with the second coming ~1 year later)

AMC is pretty vague with their breaking bad trailers, I've watched all the promos/clips and not much is given away. The longest one is filled with a bunch of clips of last season. . . unlike Dark Knight stuff which showed me half the movie before I saw it. I've been avoiding Rises promos the best I can.
I keep wondering if they'll pull something like they did in season 3 where Skyler basically calls walt out on being a drug dealer in the first episode. Could hank put it together within the first couple episodes, and the rest of the season is another cat and mouse game?
Probably not, look through this thread, I've been wrong on pretty much everything I predicted, and everyone else was too.
My prediction, Walt wants to start cooking at the car wash, Jesse waits for mike to return maybe even starts going to pick up the dead drops and Hank investigates the fire at the laundromat and figures some stuff out but gets in some kind of shit with the EPA and is barred from going there maybe...
I like Hank/Walt scenes, lot of tension and suspense. I feel like there is this unspoken rivalry between Hank and Walt, and I think it's just this alpha male sort of thing. Walt has never liked Hank thinking that he's just some boring, timid teacher who never takes risks or does anything exciting. Remember how angry Walt got with Hank when he had his son drinking the Tequila and Hank stepped in to tell Walt not to give Walt Jr. so much to drink. The idea of Walt Jr. looking more towards Hank as a father figure infuriated him. He demanded that Walt Jr. listen to him instead of Hank and keep drinking.
Then there was that scene when Hank was telling Walt Jr. about that mineral stone, and Walt steps in and tells Walt Jr. a whole encyclopedia's worth of info on that same stone and you could see in that scene how Hank felt like Walt had totally shown him up in front of Walt Jr.
I'm waiting for Hank to figure what Walt has been up to all this time. It will be a memorable moment and will pay off a lot of the tense scenes we've seen between them, like the one where Hank seemingly jokingly asked Walt if the W.W. in that file on Gale stood for Walter White. You always get this feeling like maybe, just maybe Hank subconsciously knows who Heisenberg really is. That creates a lot of underlying tension for me in a lot of their scenes together, along with the subtle rivalry I perceive between them.
On another note, I can't wait to see Mike again next season. Gus was such a bad ass character, sad to see him go this season. He went out in epic fashion though. I really liked the thought of him and Mike mentoring Jesse, but that's not gonna happen. Did you see the look on that old man's face before he set off the bomb to kill Gus? It was like this insane, euphoric look. That old guy can convey a lot without words.
